Doxie Information
Doxies are German and hunting dogs. Though they may be yappy at times, they are very attached to their owners. Some doxies seem to be very aggressive and protective of their owners, often nipping at the heels of a visitor or unknown guest. Some doxies tend to be more shy and take time warming up to you.
Doxies can be faithful companions, but it's not uncommon for them to have back problems due to their long back.
This is my mini doxie, Schnitzel, he is a silver dapple doxie.
Dachshund Rescue of North America
I want to bring attention tot the fact that many doxies are in rescue. In fact, I was surprised they have so many silver dapples, just like my Schnitzel, waiting for a good home. I really hope you will consider checking out their organization website, I have a giant arrow link below.
