- Harold Schafer & The Gold Seal Co. launched Mr Bubble back in 1961 as a box powder bubble bath.
- The liquid form of bubbles was introduced in 1972.
- The Gold Seal Co. sold Mr Bubble to Airwick Industries in 1986 soon after Reckitt & Colemen bought it.

Ten years later in 1996 Reckitt & Coleman sells Mr Bubble
to the parent company of Personal Care Group, Inc J.W. Childs Associates, LP.
- Personal Care Group Inc. acquires Playtex Products, Inc. in 1997.
- Ascendia Brands, Inc. Mr Bubble from Playtex Products, Inc. in 2005 The Village Company, LLC purchases Mr. Bubble from Ascendia Brands, Inc. in 2008.

A birthday bash was held on June 11, 2011 at the Water Park of America in Bloomington, MN. Mr. Bubble set a record creating the World's Largest Bubble Bath! The party also included a birthday cake, Mr. Bubble surfing on the Flow Rider Surf Simulator, and a bubble beard contest.

- I used my old bubble bath bottles to jug fish. I remember one catfish was able to stay under for a day before getting to tired and found him the next day while waterskiing.
