A Childhood Favorite from the 1970's are making a comeback
I grew up reading the book series of Mr. Men and Little Miss written by Roger Hargreaves in the 70's and to find out these fun characters that are full of personality are making a comeback puts a smile on my face. I still have the books on my bookshelf.
You can now find a new show on The Cartoon Network called The Mr. Men Show that features all your favorites like Mr. Tickle, Miss Sunshine, Little Miss Chatterbox, Mr. Bump, Mr. Lazy and so many more. They have been given a makeover and we are also introduced to some new character also.
Of course with their comeback comes a new line of Toys and Books and I am going to show them to you right here. Of course I will mix in some of the old originals as well - for all of us who remember them from back when.
First a Little about the Author - Roger Hargreaves
The man who brought us this wonderful series
Roger Hargreaves wrote the very first Mr. Men book in 1971 and the very first in the series was Mr. Tickle. This came about when his son asked him to draw what a Tickle looked like and that is how the fun Orange Circle with a fun face and long arms came about. From then an entire series of more than 43 books were written and illustrated by him. The Little Miss series of books came about in the 1980's and he wrote and illustrated about 30 of those as well.
He has written many other Children's Books, but is most known for the Mr. Men and Little Miss series.
I am sad to say that Roger Hargreaves died in 1988 at the age of 53, but I think he would be very happy to know Mr. Men and Little Miss have made a comeback and live on - even if they have been made over a bit.

About The Mr. Men Show on Cartoon Network
The Mr. Men Show that now appears on the Cartoon Network is an animated series that has been adapted form the original books written by Roger Hargreaves. It takes place is a town called Dillydale where the adventures take place with all our favorite Mr. Men and Little Miss Characters. The show is full of great comedy sketches, pantomimes, dance numbers and music videos.
You will also find that there are some new characters, renamed characters and even gender reassignments, as well as some changes in how they look. All in all they still are just like they were - just brought up to 2009.
