Tartlet Recipes from Mrs Beeton
Welcome to my lense on Mrs Beetons recipes for Tartlets.
Mrs Beetons famous book of Household Management contains literally hundreds of recipes. I found these tartlet recipes fascinating - I hope that you enjoy enjoy them too.
A tartlet is a baked dish consisting of a filling over a pastry base with an open top which is not covered by pastry. Usually, the pastry used is a short crust pastry.
In medieval times, tarts were filled with meat, but later tarts were filled with fruit and sometimes custard.
These dishes are still much loved by many people today.
I hope that you enjoy this lense.
