Montana Belly Dance Events and Workshops

Raks Alimah Bellydance was founded in 2003 to create an artistic avenue for Billings area bellydancers.  We began and continue to be a dance democracy -  supportive of each other and pursuing new performance avenues.  We continue to appreciate our different talents within our circle.

This dance troupe is egalitarian.  While everyone has a voice, we live by majority rule.  This impacts everything from our choreography to costuming.  In our choreography, we are sensitive to the needs and limitations of our members.  We also strive for a variety of costume looks.  Even though we all have a voice in costume choice, you may find yourself in a costume you don't like.  (Ask us about the "turban experience"!)  We try to do enough looks so that while you may not like one, you will love the next!
