Muay Thai Boxing Techniques
Must Thai boxing is much different than the boxing you might be familiar with, from the US. Muay Thai boxers are not limited to just their hands like US boxers, they not only use their hands but elbows, and knees as well, and it can often be quite brutal.
===>>> Stance - If you see a Muay Thai boxer's stance you might notice it's quite wide comparatively. One reason for this is in Muay Thai boxing you face your competitor straight on with your feet in a line. This is a great strategy both offensively and defensively since kicks are allowed.
===>>> Hands - hands are normally placed up high to protect the face and jaw from incoming punches and kicks. Elbows should be kept low and close to body as much as possible.
===>>> Knees and Kicks - knees and kicks contain explosive power and can cause devastating blows to your opponent. You must have a solid stance and really know how to use your hips for these moves to be effective.
