    On the 'Use Proper Form', it should be noted that slow, controlled lifting AND return motions are more effective and less injury-prone than faster, jerking motions typically seen at the gym. Instead of the typical 2-3 seconds up and 2-3 seconds down, use 3 seconds up and 6 seconds down using 50-75% of typical weight.
