Ranked #591 in Culture & Society, #14,680 overall
Discovering the Root Chakra
A Chakra is an energy center in the body. The Root Chakra, the red lotus of energy, is located right at the base of the spine. It is the closest Chakra to the ground and controls our sense of stability and security in this life. It is where we get our footing, stand our ground and find our strength.
This lens will highlight the primary attributes of this first Chakra, Muladhara, then describe how to recognize and work with issues based in the Root.
Chakra - What is it?

- You can stimulate your muladhara chakra by doing the following exercise every morning. Stand on the floor barefoot. Put your feet aside shoulder wide. Bend your knees while protruding your bottom backwards and put your hands with the back of your palms at the area of your abdomens on the back. Now stand for as long as you can in this postrue.
