A Guide to Mulberry's Just for Fun Lenses

Although I've certainly lived in urban areas for at least 20 years of my adult life, I grew up and have now returned to living a rural existence. I can appreciate and enjoy both styles of living.

Even when living in urban areas, I had a strong need to be outdoors. My mental peace depends upon it! Although I'm 50 years old now I still enjoy hiking and biking as much as ever. Working in my yard and being outdoors in general is where you can find me when I'm not at my computer or cooking.

I may not be an expert in some things, but I have some personal experiences that I either just want to discuss and share or perhaps they simply touch my life in a special way.

Time passes and one day I suddenly realized that the time period in which I grew up was remote, and distinctly different than today. I don't long for the old days really, but remembering the good times can be fun.

I spent my professional career working with young traumatic brain injury patients and older adults with trauma. I think it was always my "thing" to take care of those who needed it. I'm not the kind of person to mother other people or to ignore my own needs, but I hate to see "injustice" or to see people who are in need and struggling. Of course, now I also have aged parents who need care as well, so the topic of aging is one that is prevalent in my life.

Although I'm still finding my way, I've made a few lenses about some of the basics of working online; from Squidoo to affiliate marketing programs.

I'm actually a person who tries to entertain herself versus being entertained. I rarely watch television for instance although I enjoy movies some times. There are also related topics that catch my eye and I try to write about them.

I enjoy cooking. I enjoy the creative process as well as the end results. Mostly I cook from recipes. I let the experts handle how food should be prepared generally. However, I do have some recipes that evolved over the years and some were passed down from my mother or grandmother who did not use a recipe. These are generally very simple but I'll share some of them with you.

I have a "hodge podge" of shopping lenses, from the mundane to the less typical, retro stuff. I'm not a big consumer myself, my needs are fairly basic. But, there are always those things that you need, and I like to provide information and present some good options to make the shopping experience easier. Basically, I want a bargain and good quality, not hours wasted searching for something.

While I specialized in working with adults in my professional life, I do have experience, and education, in working with kids. Although I'm not a mom, I do think that raising good kids is one of the most important jobs a person can have.

I am not a photographer. I do enjoy taking pictures wherever I go however. I often share those photos online, in Squidoo lenses, and even create a few Zazzle products with them just for fun. I certainly won't be quitting my day job for photography. However, I do enjoy beautiful photographs and often create lenses that feature the work of the pros as well. I try to sprinkle in interesting facts for students and even add some music to create a nice ambiance as well.
