Mulch Magnet and its uses
The basics
I won't beat around the bush (ha ha), I am the inventor of Mulch Magnet and I'm getting the word out on this new product. This product was developed to solve a need in the landscaping industry. My brothers own a landscaping supply company and customers keep asking how they could put mulch on hillsides and prevent weeds from growing through. On flat surfaces it is common to use a landscaping fabric or plastic underneath the mulch. These work well, but if used on a hillside or slope the mulch slides down the hill. After much talking and testing I came up with a plastic that has a three dimensional form which holds the mulch. Now you can get the landscaping benefits of mulch with weed protection of a plastic underlayment. The product has been thoroughly tested in the hills of western PA, and has withstood the test of time and mother nature.
Mulch Magnet is selling well in Western PA, if you are interested in the product please visit our main website www.mulchmagnet.com we are looking for additional sales people and retail outlets.
Tips on Using Mulch Magnet
Below are some tips in order to get the best performance from the product.
- Do not use on slopes that are steeper than 30 degrees. These slope may be inherently unstable and should be stabilized before any landscaping is done.
- Rake the hillside / slope smooth, removing and large clumps of dirt, stones or rocks.
- If the area to be mulched does not go to the bottom of the slope, add a stopping point or dirt mound 3 to 4" high at the base. This will assist the mulch from not sliding.
- Make sure that the Mulch Magnet is securely anchored to the hillside, use the included landscaping staples.
Now's the time to start thinking about next year...look for upcoming online sales, more information on the website.
Note: We are currently looking for additional sales and distributors. See the main website for additional details.
