Multicultural Projects

OK, the first multicultural product comes in Arabic. Some of you cannot read Arabic of course. The idea meant to gets you more ideas about working out multicultural projects. Arabic is a difficult language when it comes to writing Arabic in styled publishing products created originally for left-to-right languages. However, I managed the effects out and adapted some processes to use the language with some software. See this example of a Multicultural Project called Phoenix Order.

This is actually a picture of a beautiful sculpture outside the administration of Aarhus municipality. I stopped at it a long time to refresh my thoughts. However, I have captured the idea of a new project from the first glimpse. The fact is; that project was lying in the background of my thoughts, waiting for my hands to release it. I even dreamt about it all those nights before I set it free from the backbone of my imagination. I had a feeling that moment, if I stretched my hand to touch it, the beautiful woman in every passionate inch of her body may scream and I might disturb her silent prayers.

Well, I thought of shadows and some mixed colours to light some parts of it. Then the sculpture should appear rising to the sky to hang there with shadows of some trees. Ah, the idea came creeping in light of waves into my mind, while the fountain of lyric ran into words from my mouth.

Enjoying the moment of creation, I uploaded the picture of the sculpture from my camera to my computer. I then followed the shadows I have created earlier to bring them into image editor and then finished them by adding some touches using Photoshop. The image created symbolizes one of my poetry called "Creation". It is about love experience I had 28 years ago. This happens when the past indulge in the present to symbolize a sophisticated feeling of a human being.

The multicultural project comes to enlighten people through poetry, not to read and enjoy only, but to get motivated to join the action network for better world. The action network goes through a production and sharing process. The production process includes writing pieces of this kind of art, animating those pieces, adding audio, converting them to PDF files and audio products, and translating them into some international languages like English, French, Spanish and Scandinavian, all of which creates an environment of better understanding and feeling the essence of humanity more better.

Instead of guns, pens will make life better. The race will fall a part. Equality will prosper. Better tomorrow will emerge and shine. Peace will evolve. Birds will fly and tweet. In addition, at the bright horizon we will meet with smiles and hopes.

The 1969s period was very active and full of surprises to the public in the political scene. To me, it was no wonder although I was a teenager at that time. But, what a teenager? I was hot of so many ideas and activities. I wrote some of my best short stories, assays and poetry at that period (1967-1972). I wrote plays for our local theatre group and acted in one of the plays which written by a theatrical colleague. I read my poetry in so many rural areas to enlighten the people.

I was full of revolution and thought that there is only one way for prosperity for all and that way is communism. However, although I was not a communist party's member that time, I engaged in so many activities with the labour class. I have yet to complete my junior education and move to the secondary school. Mao-Tse-Tung was all head and thoughts in a medal of his which hanged on my pocket just over my heart. Here comes another story, beyond this space. Maxim Gorky's Mother was filling my head by thoughts and energies. However, I sometimes hid myself with Alberto Moravia's hot books to warm my thoughts ;-)

"Wakening of the Phoenix", the collection of Arabic poetry, which in fact is my first selected poetry, comes including 17 pieces of poetry, dedications, introduction from the poet, and introduction from the publisher. The 4 sides hardcover book is in 48 pages and a 14,5 x 20 cm format.

Those are not all neither the poetry I have written though, nor they are the best. However, I could not manage to collect more than these pieces. This is actually due to my long escape from military and civil dictatorial regimes, which make me, wonder until this moment about the claimed independence of my country from Britain. I wished we had not that false independence.

This is alone could be a topic for a new book I am thinking to write. However, getting back to those verses in the collection, they are of different genre. Yes, they belong to the modern poetry school, although some verses there are terribly romantic, symbolic or even surrealistic. Nevertheless, symbolism scatters in most of them; some of them stand clear realistic.

Some love poetry in the collection includes some symbols of politics. It aims towards taking strong position against those dictators to free the people from the impact and influence of false Islam and financially dominating false Sheikhs whether they are in civil cloths or military uniforms. The messages say clearly "enough is enough" and the revolution should rise to root out the evil circle.

I am standing exactly like the storm in the heart of action. This is my nature and I just cannot change it.

Therefore, my poetry has a reason and a target as my short stories have. I encourage the people not to retreat before their dictators do, because I believe in tomorrow. Yesterday was what we had, I vote for the future and the coming generations.

This is why I published this collection of poetry by the title "Wakening of the Phoenix", which in turn is one of my strong national poetry. The song for my sweetheart is amalgamated with the song to the forthcoming free, modern and well-civilized country.

This is one of my multicultural projects on squidoo.com. I am running this project through the Squadron of Poets' Lenses and the Squadron of Poets' Group. I have built the Squadron of Poets' Project to get some poets and critics involved. The project aims towards making multicultural products out of a poetry contest.

By entering poetry in this project, some unpublished poets can get their poetry published and translated into some other international languages. The poetry contest gives them money prizes in addition to the Squadron of Poets' Silver Emblem. Moreover, the project gives them exposure in different multicultural environments.

The Squadron of Poets' Project aims also to get fund from the Squadron of Poets' Cafepress to fund some more multicultural projects. This is why I have tied all those ingredients in the Squadron of Poets with my original and personal multicultural project.
