Multiplayer Games on Pc.

A Great Hobby

I have been playing multiplayer games on Pc for a good while now. It has become a really great little hobby for the family and myself. Yes my wife and 7 year old daughter plays too. I got started with a group of friends telling me about Call Of Duty World at War so I had to go out and buy a copy of it.

Gentlemen Warriors

Well before I knew it the wife would be on my Pc playing it. I got involved with a group of guys that were playing online. I did some research and found out that there is a lot of groups out there they are called clans. I joined a few before I found one that I really enjoyed being in .. This group is called the Gentlemen Warriors. You would think well that is nothing but a bunch of teenagers well the group of men and women range from 18 to 72 years old from all over the world.

Meeting new People

They use a chat program called TeamSpeak3 that way you can talk and have some really great conversations. I have made over the years some really great online friends. Online the have what the call Nic's it's the names they go by playing the games some of them are like TX-Red he is our oldest member and one of the co-founders then you got Fish another co-founder of the group like myself I go by Rebeljohn but over the years we have all gotten to know each other pretty good there are about 75 to 80 members of GW as of now. The group has a ranking system they go by the Marines Ranking system when you first start out you're a recruit then after after 30 days you become a privet and you work your way up the ladder. Gentlemen Warriors

Gentlemen Warriors has Three Servers and a Website plus TeamSpeak this is all paid for from donations from the clan members
The group gets together with other clans and have what they call a scrim were they play against each other. Most of the time a few officers out of each clan will get together and set the rules and what maps they are going to play most of the time it's the best two out of three matches. There is some really great players out there.

Over the Years

Over the years the Clan has played a Number of Games. Two that come to mind are Medal of Honor then there is Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Call of Duty World at War. The Group is still playing (COD) World at War even though it's been out a few years now it's really a great game. I think personal it's one of the best games out there. I guess what I like about World At war is there is no bad langue in it and my daughter can play it.Some of the other games I really don't care for the bad langue that they use in them. Like in Battlefield3 and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 in the single player the langue is really bad at times that is why I don't play single player on them. But like anything you got to take the good with the bad sometimes.

Call Of Duty World at War

Call of Duty World at War for a older game its still awesome. I have been playing it from the time it was released.I really enjoy the maps that they have in there.In my opinion i think is the best game they have come out with in years. For the simple fact if you are running your own server you have a lot more control over how you run your server and the game play .

Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3

Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is a really good game but to myself and some others the hackers try there best to take the fun out of it . They do not have any Dedicated servers and that makes it hard for the clans that run servers to keep the hackers out of them.What they call a Dedicated is really nothing if you play on one and your leveling and ranking up you can't go to another server and carry your ranks with you.So like so many other you just learn to play with the hackers or you go find another server to play on .

Battlefield3

BF3 is another good game that we really enjoyed playing. Flying in the planes is awesome.You can have some really nice tank battles in there the Graphics are really great. But like anything now days you got to look out for the hackers they can really mess up your day of gaming if you let them.

Consoles V PC's

To me i would much rather us a PC for gaming than a gaming console. PC gaming is a lot better you can have more people in there playing online with you. there is more control over your video settings as to were a console you can not change that much.

PCs all the way. There are a few things such as the kinect that can get me interested in playing consoles, but other than that I prefer all my games to be on the PC. Also Graphics are so much better on PC except for the games that has sadly been dumped down to fit a console version.

Consoles for me, I like gaming from my couch and the mouse/keyboard thing hasn't appealed to me for a long time. I can see why some games are undoubtedly better on a pc though.

Console's are cheaper then a 2000$ gaming desktop that can do the same graphic wise.
