What Do I Wanna Be

We are ask by teachers, parents, relatives and even friends about what to do after we graduate. What do you wanna be when you grow up? We start thinking about it in elementry school influenced by those we see nearly everyday i.e. teachers, shop owners, professional sports athelete, firemen, policeman, etc..

Then the need for education and training is drummed into your head if you want to succeed in your chosen area with a minimum of problems. Well I'm going to give you a little taste of  the various jobs I had or my close friends had. Except for the sports on the field playing (unless you have been playing as a kid with above average ability) its never to late to start another career.

I wanted to be a pro-football player but I was not growing bigger but the high school coaches though I had the talent. I have some buddies who are and talk about they train harder in the off season than during the season. Excercise (flexibility and conditioning), nutrition and wieght training regime is critical for success. Key success factor is mental fortitude many take up yoga, martial arts, active in the church or find some quite time to meditate.

I also like science and making gadgets. Must have an ability to grasp abstract concepts, do some math, visualize solutions and communicate. This could be the job description for a doctor, nurse, scientist or engineer.

Doctor you gotta be really smart, hold lots of facts in your head and not faint when seeing blood or big needles. Your communication skills manuel dexterity separate the surgeons, family phsicians and nurses

Engineer or scientist you can be really smart in one area and do math. What separates those in pure R&D from project management and manufacturing is the communication skills and trade skills.
