Imhotep rises again
1290 BC, the affair between the High Priest Imhotep and the mistress of King Seti I, Anck-su-namun has been discovered. Anck-su-namun commits suicide, in the hope her lover can resurrect her. Imhotep steals her body to begin the ceremony in Hamunaptra, the city of the dead, only to be discovered again and sentenced to the biggest punishment of them all, the curse of Hom Dai.
He is buried alive wrapped like a mummy together with flesh-eating scarabs granting him eternity to suffer his wounds.
That's how the story of The Mummy begins.
The Mummy - Plot
When Rick reveals he know the location of Hamunaptra, the fabled city of the dead, Evelyn makes a deal with the warden to prevent Rick from being hanged.
As payback for getting him out of prison, Rick is recruited into an expedition that will search for the treasures of Hamunaptra. But they are not alone, an American teams races for the same goal.

However, things don't always go as planned.
When diggers open a sarcophagus they find the body of Imhotep.
The team of Evelyn discover the Book of the Dead, and by reading some lines out loud, she accidentally awakens Imhotep who begins sucking life out of the people to rebuild his ancient body.
He's soon at full strength and releases his wrath on the world.

The mummy returns - Plot
He was forced to retreat in the desert, where he lost the remainder of his army. To get even, he exchanged his soul for his life to the god Anubis and het gets a huge army raised just for him in an oasis created just to keep him alive. He gets his revenge and Anubis claims his soul.

Today, or 1933, Evie and Rick dig up the bracelet of Anubis which gives their son Alex directions to the oasis where the Scorpion King lived. At the same time Imhotep, who had be resurrected once more, is after the same thing and captures Alex.
Alex leaves trails for his parents to find him and they do. With the help of Izzy, a former British pilot, the chase Imhotep to the Oasis. When the bracelet reaches the Oasis, the viciou Scorpion King will come back to the living, and hell will start.
