Profile: Kermit the Frog

It may not have been easy being green, but despite his froginess,
Kermit was beloved by people around the world. The first Kermit puppet was made by Jim Henson using one of his mother's old coats. Kermit's come a long way since then. Originally voiced by Jim Henson, Steve Whitmire took over the job when Jim Henson suddenly passed away.
Profile: Miss Piggy
Miss Piggy was originally performed by Frank OZ, who voiced a number of other famous Muppets including Yoda (Yes, originally, he was sort of a Muppet). Known for many things including her propensity for being a diva, desire to be a starlet and her strength, Miss Piggy was best known for the crush she harbored on Kermit. Despite his best attempts, he found himself unable to resist the pig and the two have been inseparable since the 80s.
Profile: Fozzie Bear
Fozzie Bear's optimistic attitude and desire to be loved made him an easy target. Especially for the peanut gallery - which usually consisted of those two old guys, Waldorf and Statler. He never let them get him down and never gave up. Fozzie was also originally voiced by Frank Oz as were most of Kermit's (Jim Henson) sidekicks.
Profile: Gonzo
Gonzo was originally voiced by Dave Goelz. Like Fozzie, he had a strong desire to be in show business. He could normally be found hanging out with his one true love, Camilla, a chicken. His distinctive nose and the fact that no one could ever quite figure out what he was supposed to be gave rise to the rumor that Gonzo was from some *really* far off place. Namely, somewhere in outer space.
Profile: Animal
Animal likes to bang the drums. He doesn't really want to work. He just wants to bang on the drums all day. This lovable quality makes him a Muppet favorite and if you want to be Animal, you need a couple of qualities: to be loud and be destructive. In other words, you need to be an Animal.
Profile: Waldorf and Statler
Normally found in the Muppet Show theater, these two can usually be seen heckling any performer brave enough to take the Muppet Show stage. Numerous Muppets have been privy to their "reviews," but probably none more so than poor Fozzie the Bear.
Waldorf and Statler were voiced by Jim Henson and Dave Goelz.
