Who is Murrell Howell

On 09/16/2007 at 9:30AM Officers of the CSPD Stetson Hills Division were advised by a Police Chaplin that he had seen a flyer from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. He believed that the suspect and the child had been attending his Church. He informed them that the suspect is living at 1803 Prairie Rd Apt #114. The flyer indicated that Murrell Howell abducted his non-custodial son Murrell Howell Jr. Age 10. The abduction took place in Orange County California, on June 1, 2007. Officers were given a copy of the flyer that contained the photos of both the suspect and the abducted child. Officers contacted the management staff of the apartment complex at 1803 Prairie Rd. who also confirmed the identity of those living in apartment #114 from the photos on the flyer. Officers attempted contact with negative results.
On 09/17/2007 at 7:30AM Officers returned to the address, this time they located the suspect and the abducted child. The suspect was arrested with out incident, and the child was taken into protective custody. El Paso County Department of Human Services took custody of the child and assisted with the notification of the mother. The suspect Murrell Howell was interviewed per the DA in Orange County, CA. and then booked into CJC on Warrant 07CF2191.
