Body building at home

Hi everyone! If you're reading this I'm sure it's because you are looking for tips on how to build muscles, if that's the case then you came to the right place because I am going to show you how to build muscles at home with minimal costs and it will also take away the hour in which you were wondering what to do.

Now a lot of you guys may think bodybuilding is a super simple thing that doesn't require anything special but lifting something. Well you are almost right, it is true that you will be lifting things, but there is a lot more to bodybuilding than just that. A lot of people make mistakes when they start to work out. The type of mistakes you can make when you work out are various, you can break a muscle, which won't help in your quest to having stronger muscles, you can workout but not see yourself improving, sometimes people only concetrate on one kind of muscle which leads to being instable etc.

Alright, first let me introduce myself. My name is Joey and I'm 20 years old. I live in Montreal, Quebec. I like music, I play guitar and the saxophone and I'm in a band. I have a lot of hobbies, I like playing music, I like painting sometimes and of course I work out a lot. For me working out is more like a hobby and I keep it in my every day routine. I am a huge hockey fan and hockey and boxing are my main sports. That's about all you need to know about me.

Why work out?

There are many reasons people work out for. I will list the advantages of working out.

-It makes you look better
-It makes you better at sports
-Your stronger
-Women find you more attractive
-People respect you
-Less chance of getting beat up
-Better self confidence

The advantages of working out at home

What is the advantage of working out at home? Why choose to work out at home instead of going to the gym? well... There are different types of people with different types of lives therefore, I prefer to work out at home and here are the reasons.

The cost is cheaper, if you buy equipement like dumbbells you'll always have it, no need for monthly costs you just buy the equipement and that's it. You do not need to move from where you are, if you are at home a lot then you can work out whenever you want without going outside. you can make yourself a good snack from your fridge while you are working out. Something I like to do when I work out is turn off the lights, light some candles and some incense then I turn on some relaxing music and start my work out this way your muscles are a lot more relaxed. You should try this I recommend it. For me the main reason I got to the gym is because a work out is ment to be done alone, a work out is sacred to me and the environement in the gym makes it boring.

Beggining for begginers

Starting a work out is simple. You first need to evaluate yourself. Are you fit? What is the maximum weight you can lift with one arm? How many push-ups can you do? Then you need to choose what material you need to buy, I recommend starting with a pair of dumbbells to improve your biceps, the bicep is the main muscle, it's the musle you will use in almost all the movements of your arms so it is important to have a pair of dumbbells. Now not everybody starts with the same weight on a dumbbell. I myself started with 10 pounds I went through 4 pairs of dumbbells until now; the 10 pounds, the 15 pounds, the 22.5 pounds and I am currently at the 30 pounds and I don't intend in getting any heavier. Now don't get over exited with those weights. it is better to start with a smaller weight and do lots of reps than being able to do a couple reps with a heavier weight. So finally my recommendation for a start is the 8 pounds or the 10 pounds. . After buying your first pair of dumbbells you're pretty much set to start your first work out. Amazon has great varieties and good prices I recommend getting your dumbbells on Amazon.

Your first routine

A work out routine is a pattern you will follow and repeat as many times as you can. This is what will make your muscles work hard and this is were everything will start to evolve. Follow this 30min routine to begin with: stand up with each dumbbell in your hands with your arms hanging, bend your knees a tiny bit and pop your chest out, with this position do 10 reps(if reps are too easy you can do more). Remember the position and lift the weights up to your shoulders while counting(1,2)slowly, then go back down and count(1,2)slowly again. After doing your 10 reps go into push-up stance(2 arms 2 feet on the ground width of your shoulders ass popping out but just a bit)now do 10 reps of push-ups, at last you will be doing sit-ups(lay down on a matress with your knees bent and your back on the matress, your toes should stay on the ground while you will be lifting your back up just a little bit so you feel it in your abs)do 20 reps of this and that's it repeat this as much as you can during 30min. Do this twice a day between breaks every day.

Advanced work out

Alright, after working out for about a month every day with our first routine you should be getting good results. You can now jump to a more advanced work out with more exercises but the concept will still be the same. You will have a routine that you will follow but this time it will be harder and this is where the real work out starts. Your dumbbells should start to be light and now is the time to buy heavier dumbbells. If you started with the 8 pound or the 10 pound now is the time to move to the 15 pound dumbbells. These dumbbells are pretty heavy and they will make your work outs much better. Also now is the time to buy a pull-up bar, pull-up bars are great for building strong arms and they also give you many exercises that will train your back muscles, your biceps, your triceps and your abs. Now that you have all this you can take a look at the exercise list below and create your own routine, remember it's simple, pick different type of push-up exercises, then dumbbell exercises, then pull-up exercises and at last abs exercises, set a number for each exercise and repeat as many times as you can.

Nutrition

Eating healthy is the number 1 key to having a great body. A good work out consists of eating what's good for you. You first need to know that eating at fast food restaurants really often is bad for your health. A lot of people are too lazy to cook and just oder a pizza or they go to a buffet. Instead of making a healthy lunch they just eat at some place this is a big mistake although it is ok to eat at a fast food restaurant occasionnaly I do it myself sometimes but not very often. Here is what you have to do instead of eating at those restaurants: Cook your own meals. Some people are too lazy to cook but cooking is the best way to eat healthy, when you cook, you are aware of every ingredient you put in your meals. This allows you to do the groceries and buy a lot of healthy food like broccoli, beans, carrots, almonds, nuts etc. Vegetables are really essential and they will keep you healthy. Try these vegetables out: broccoli, spinach, carrots, beans, celery, tomatoes,(yeah it's a fruit but I still consider it a vegetable),you can cook with potatoes, mushrooms, etc. Vegetables are great but for the taste fruit are good too. Whenever you want a snack or dessert you can eat fruit. Fruit tastes really good and it's also very nutritious. Here are some fruit you might want to eat: bananas, oranges, clementines, apples, mangos, pineapple, kiwis, strawberries, blueberries, etc. Now that you eat healthy you need to eat proteins too, here are the best foods I use for portein: Almonds; they are great, they taste great they are healthy and give you loads of protein. Nuts, all kind of nuts and peanut butter are all great for protein. Yogourt, any kind of yogurt and dairy products. Meat: chicken, beef, pork and all kind of meat you can imagine is good for protein. So now that you eat healthy and you eat a lot of protein you will see the improvement a lot quicker when you work out and you might also consider buying organic food for a bigger price. Drinking coca cola is not healthy try drinking a lot of water every day and juice, fruit shakes are great too.

Sports

Sports, a great addition to a good work out

This will be the last tip I will give you and it's to add some sport to the workout you do so your body muscles stay balanced. There is a great variety of sports you can do to stay in shape and they are all fun to do. You could try soccer, it's a sport that makes you run and you only need a ball, or you could try basketball or badminton or hockey. As long as you have fun and you sweat these sports will make you super fit and will cut down the calories you get. You could also jog, jogging is great to stay in shape but it's a bit less fun than other sports. You could use a bike to go wherever you need to go. And one sport that will work all your body muscles is swimming, swimming is great I swim every week at least once, it works every single muscle in your body so now that you have all these tips it's time for you to start!
