An online conference for writers

This is an annual FREE conference offering a huge variety of online workshops and chats for an entire week in October.

The 2008 conference was a wonderful success. If you missed the opportunity to attend this conference, keep next year's conference on your calendar; registration should take place in August. I will post 2009 registration information here as soon as it is available.

Lea Schizas 

...conference founder and organizer.

Conference founder and coordinator, Lea Schizas, is an amazing woman and writer who has worked tirelessly for several years now to put on these annual and well-attended online writers conferences.

Her workshop for 2008 was Writing The Short Story.

Lea is author of the YA fantasy novel, The Rock of Realm, and co-author/editor of The Muse on Writing.

Karina L. Fabian 

Karina L. Fabian is President of the Catholic Writers' Guild, owner of Catholic Writers Online. She teaches writing and book marketing seminars on-line.

Her workshops in 2008 were Virtual Book Tour, Faith in Fiction, World Building, and Media Room Basics.

Karina's writing website is Fabian Space.

At Virtual Book Tour Karina advertises books for those who extend that favor to others.

Margot Finke 

Margot Finke is a native of Australia who moved to Oregon 25 years ago. Her most recent picture book, Rattlesnake Jam, is for boys and reluctant readers.

Her workshop in 2008 was called How to Make Sure Your Children's Book "Hooks" An Editor.

Margot writes a monthly column for writers which can be found on the Purple Crayon website and in the SCBWI NewsWorthy magazine: Musings.

Margot has an online critique service. Rattlesnake Jam and her other picture books can be found through her website: Margot Finke.

Linda J. Hutchinson 

Linda J. Hutchinson is a multi-published freelance writer, photojournalist, and copywriter with a background in banking and finance, sales and marketing, real estate and insurance, construction and heavy equipment.

Her workshop in 2008 was Writing for the Trades (How to Make Money Writing Non-fiction).

Linda is a partner and moderator at The Writer's Chatroom and has a website: Linda J. Hutchinson.
