My Music
I was a child of a musical era that saw "Hair" and "Tommy" onstage and live. In the time between the 60's and 70's music changed dramatically. It went from "Crimson and Clover" to "Purple Haze". The era of the flower child was in full bloom.
Music is constantly evolving and changing in large swings across the face of the industry. The power of music is ever a constant that grips both young and old alike.
In the list below you will see the different types of music I listen to and how it has changed over the years.
My Top 10 Elvis Songs
- My Top 10 Elvis Songs

Elvis Presley was always a part of my life. Even though he left us when I was not yet a teenager, I knew he was The King.
In this lens you will find My Top 10 Favorite Elvis Tunes.
With the hundreds of songs he released over the span of his career it was hard to narrow it down. They could change at any time with my varying moods, but these are the ones I always hold dear.
I Can't Help Falling In Love With You
I did not include "I Can't Help Falling In Love With You" in my list so I am adding it here as a *Bonus* selection for those of you who asked.
Led Zeppelin
- Led Zeppelin

Do you remember Led Zeppelin?
I was a child of the 1970s. Music was extremely varied. From the "Bubblegum" sounds of the Osmonds, Shaun Cassidy and Leif Garrett, I soon moved to the "hard stuff".
By the time I was 11, I had Robert Plant on the back of my bedroom door. It was one of those big posters too! Led Zeppelin was my music candy of choice, with Robert Plant being the "Tootsie Roll" center.
Stairway to Heaven
Collective Soul
- Collective Soul

This lens is about a local group of guys who made it out of the little known town of Stockbridge, GA to become not only local celebrities, but stars. Most of you know, or have read on the blog, that I am in Jonesboro, GA (not even 5 miles away) so I've been listening to these guys for a LONG time. Collective Soul calls Atlanta, GA home.
The band may have become multi-platinum world traveling performers, but they have never given up their small town roots. The band is listed in the "Pop", "Rock", and "Alternative Rock" genres. Their fan base consists of music lovers from all over the world. They are a true "crossover band" as they have managed to cross age, race and international boundaries.
Georgia Girl
I did not include "Georgia Girl" in the lens so I am adding it here as a *Bonus* selection.
Dave Patten
- Dave Patten

If you don't already know who Dave Patten is, please, allow me to introduce you. I met Dave Patten through Twitter. I reached out to him because I feel his music is awesome! I can't get it out of my head.
Guess what? He's a truly nice person. I've never met a musician so humble yet confident. He answers his fans without conceit and with real appreciation for them. He has since become someone I can tweet with and have a laugh or two. I would like to share what I have found out about him and give you a glimpse of a real Rising Star!
Come Home With Me
I did not include "Come Home With Me" in the lens so I am adding it here as a *Bonus* selection.
Partridge Family Video Showcase
- Partridge Family Video Showcase
When I was a child, The Partridge Family was one of my favorite shows. What you'll find in this lens are some of the actual shows and some of the videos.
I hope you will enjoy spending a little time watching the shows and listening to the songs.
As I was looking for good video, I realized these really were fun times!

These wings are almost on borrowed time, so putting them to good use. Squid Angel blessing!

- You know Holley, I just spent a long time on iTunes trying to spend a gift certificate -- I still have a nominal balance now left, but I had to turn on Genius to make some suggestions for music! Can you imagine that?

- This is a great lens although the music is a little bit before my time. That doesn't mean it's not good though. :) Congrats on reaching 50! Hopefully by September we will be Giants Squids together. Go WiWon team!
