I couldn't agree with you more on the value of music in helping to heal grief, and in therapy in general. I was so moved and gratified to receive this story about how my own musical offerings have aided in these ways: http://www.danielkobialka.com/blog/2007/11/13/shirleys-reiki-and-music-sessions-a-touching-story/ --Love and Blessing to you for sharing such a wonderful lens. 5 stars and many thanks. Top-notch site. Though I have a master's degree in counseling psychology, my bachelor's degree is in music theory and performance (- why I was drawn to this site). As a therapist, I often use, or recommend, music to help my clients. This lens will be a good resource for me. Thanks!

I used music tapes when my mother was dying after she went off of dialysis. She found it very soothing. I now do Tibetan Bowls sound therapy.

Yes, using music at the end of life is wonderful for both the patient and the family - harps, Tibetan Bowls, flutes. I enjoyed your site gave it five stars.
