Washboard Music

In the past washboard players were often the funny member of the band, this really wasn't as bad as it sounds. Clowns are usually highly skilled in many ways and to be a clown with a washboard, you need to be an extremely fine musician indeed.

Nowadays musical washboards can be found in many forms of music: Blues, Jazz, Bluegrass, Zydeco and even Punk and Hardcore to name a few, they are just as often plain old scrubboards without any frills as jazzed up with cans, woodblocks and a cymbal or two....

For the last few years I have been learning to play the washboard so I often search the web for videos of washboard musicians, looking for ideas and inspiration.
