- These were great performances and I was lucky enough (and old enough) to see most of them.

- Returning to tell you I've "featured" this story on my Kingston Trio lens. I saw the Smothers Brothers live in concert at Wolf Trap in D.C. in 2002 -- co-billed with The Kingston Trio. What an outstanding night! Such great memories.

- Great musical clips from the show, I loved the show as a kid, and found I very much agreed with the politics they promoted....and got the axe for.

- Even though due to my computer flash/ActiveX/java glitch which I've spent hours over the past year trying to find .. so I just allow... prevents any videos from showing I can "imagine" this lens. [for people with issues like me it would ALWAYS be useful to actually WRITE out the YouTube URL so I can click and view and at least see them that way]
I watched the Smothers Brothers some. I watched the other one more..."Rowan and Martin's Laugh In" the precursor to Saturday Night Live. I liked the funny skits! LOL
Yes, Janelle (CCGAL) TV was better then, it was still new in the 60's. Didn't it only begin in the 50's? It certainly only became widely popular and viewed in the 60's. This meant it was not yet CONROLLED and USED by the powers that be to impress fear upon the collective consciousness and as a means of mind control. It was actually just ENTERTAINMENT and free speech (sort of...) Now TV is used as a mind and societal control device and the entertainment value is in the trash. It's unfortunate.
Kate is good at trips down Memory Lane. (I saw the 60's music lens also without songs or video LOL) I'd like to see if she is equally as good on trips into "Future World" because as she found out just last Thursday (May 13) ALL Time is happening NOW. We experience the moments our frequency is turned into!
Future seers, fortune tellers (real not hoax) and clairvoyants are tuned into a wider spread of frequencies and tune "up the dial" so to speak to experience the "future moments" of Now.
Love to all!

- Always loved the Smothers Brothers. Saw them live in concert about 10 years ago at Wolf Trap in Washington DC in a shared concert with my All-Time Favorite Folk Group - The Kingston Trio. Tommy & Dick Smothers were the same as ever - voices just as good, lots of favorite songs and classic routines - they were priceless. Best concert I ever went to. Fun reminders here.

- Great music! My dad had 2 Smothers Brothers LPs, and I grew up listening to them over and over - I loved it. I would love to get the complete seasons on DVD, but I guess I'll have to settle for the "Best ofs" DVDs.

- Oh, what a treasure trove! I loved the Smothers Brothers. Do you remember their song about flying saucers? They sang it with a funny accent so it came out "I thaw one o' them flyin' thock-o-thurs, I'm kine-a scared o' them thaings, ain't you" Is it just me or is TV not nearly so good as it was back then? Thanks for building this - I am going to have to find a place to lensroll it so I can enjoy these wonderful videos again and again.

- Yes, Yes, CCGAL....I am trying to find a video clip of it. I thought I was the only one who remembered that one. I think I only heard it once, but 40+ years later, I still remember it. Yay....I'm not imagining things.

- What a great lens. I have a "White Rabbit" lens and also included this clip of Jefferson Airplane. I didn't realize there were so many other special musical moments on the show. The Smothers Brothers are amazing, funny as well as talented!

- We always looked forward to the Smothers Brothers Show! Oh, for the days that entertainment was so light hearted. I still don't understand why David Steinberg's Moses skit caused the demise of the show--that was another era for sure. This is delightful! My particular favorite is Tom, Dick and Harry.
