Fashion and religion are merging in the jewelry trade and the markets now are full of beautiful earrings, bracelets and necklaces that depict many different aspects of all the worlds religions. In today's societies there are certain issues arising with people wearing religious jewelry in the work place or in school. People are trying to eradicate religion as a problem in certain places and, as it a personal choice, there should be no need to wear jewelry to affirm their own faith. jb robinsons jewelry

I must say that Islam and Muslims have a taste for beauty, the Taj Mahal in India and the mosques are beautiful, stunning examples of the architecture during the ancient era of Mughal reign in India. A beautiful lens that brings forth this beauty in the jewelry.

Thank you.. but the hand is not really islamic.. although it came from islamic regions.. it is a charm, which is not allowed in Islam.

It's the best seller on this list, I guess that most Muslims disagree with you.

I very much like your collections and mostly I love the information on why there are no people, or "models" to show them. Very interesting!

I do keep Islamic jewelry and symbols on a charm bracelet I created to celebrate the diversity of the world. I love the hands of Fatima! Thanks for this lens!

This is very beautiful jewelry. I am trying, as many are, to find ways to stop this horrific anti Islamic furor. Since the COEXIST symbols and paraphernalia have become a part of the uproar, I am thinking many of us could use jewelry to show our support for Islam and our Muslim brothers and sisters. As a nurse I am limited in what I can wear at work and I suspect sales and office workers have similar restrictions. I would like to find a good quality version of the COEXIST symbol of Islam as a pin and earrings. I would wear it with a pin that represents my own denomination.

I am somewhat concerned, looking at this jewelry that the COEXIST symbol does not mean much to Muslims. I also suspect it is more recognizable to Americans than the Allah symbols. Given your understanding of Islam, do you have any feedback?
  • spirituality Aug 23, 2010 @ 2:52 am | delete
I suspect the coexist symbol would be very hard to turn into jewelry.

Personally I'd recommend interfaith jewelry (I should probably do a page on that) like on here; http://www.interfaithing.com/necklace/

Well, I've set you up a page on interfaith jewelry: http://www.squidoo.com/interfaith-jewelry. There isn't much choice but the one pendant I found is very pretty.
