Women's Muslim Swimsuits

It is no longer odd to see beach goers dressed for protection and fun. More and more Americans and Australians, folks the world 'round, are donning sensible and fun comfortable swim gear that doubles as protection from harm sun rays. As sensible as practical we now have a great selection of swimsuits and accessories.

Keep your youthful and healthy skin by wearing coverups that do protect your skin. Skin health is the body's first line of defense against elemental damage. Once you wear these great outfits you won't settle for swimming in anything less.

Most swimsuits are made of polyester/spandex mixes. Those fabrics tend not to cling to the body when wet, and water tends to run off easily so the suit dries rapidly.

The suits resemble scuba suits with body skins that are covered by either a long pullover vest or jumper like top that extends to above the knees. Some bottoms have attached short skirts. Some of the pants have heel straps that keep the legs covered, while others cling tightly to the lower legs.

My swimsuit consists of a pair of long, loose bottoms. I'm tall and they fit well in the beginning. Now they are looser in the leg and little bit shorter. The top is long-sleeved and fits like a snug t-shirt that snaps easily and securely over the crotch of the pants. Over that is a vest or sundress-like topper.

Mine was teeny tiny for the size I ordered. I'm tall and accustomed to buying a larger size than I might need, to get the length. I couldn't get the dress part over my bust so I stashed it in the closet and hoped my exercize plan would make me teeny tiny too.

I sewed my own swim dress out of polyester fabric - which I would not recommend except as a last resort, which mine was. Polyester clings to the body and legs of the swimsuit and defeats the whole purpose of the dress over the skins - like scuba-skins.

However I've used it for months and it has gradually seemed to grow as I shrank. When I forgot it a few times in the shower room I tried out the original dress and it fit, albeit a bit snugly, but the fabric really does shed water, and gave me hope too! Swimming again is one of my true joys!

Swimsuit head-coverings vary with the designer. Several - in fact, most - are designed to hold long hair comfortably and securely. You will find hoods that are attached to the swimsuit or separate, like mine is, or detachable styles.
