What weapon will you use in Modern Warfare 3?
Take your pick!
Remember these four things when trying to decide which weapon to us:
What's your goal? Every player has a different goal. For some, having a high kill/death ratio is important. For others, having a high win/loss ratio is important. If you want to have a high kill/death ratio, you're probably going to play defensively and want a weapon with high stopping power like the M16A4, SCAR-L, CM901, or MK14 Assault Rifles. If you want a high win/loss ratio, your probably not going to want a heavy LMG bogging you down because you'll be busy capturing objectives. If this describes you, go with an Assault Rifle with a fast rate of fire like the Type 95, or a powerful SMG like the MP5, UMP45 and Mp7.
What game mode are you playing? Remember: Domination and Search and Destroy and two completely different game modes requiring different styles of play. Domination, for example, favours run-and-gun style players, so you can expect to be running a lot and should therefore pick a light weapon like an SMG. If you're playing Search and Destroy, make sure you consider the fact that most of the game you'll be walking, not running, so a heavier weapon like an LMG is okay here. And if you're the type of player that likes to play from the perimeter of the map in Search and Destroy, use a weapon with high accuracy like the Type 95.
What map are you playing? For those of you who play Black Ops, you know that using the same weapon on Nuketown and Array can be disastrous. Nuketown is cramped and hectic, whereas Array is expansive and slow-paced. In other words, don't make the mistake thinking that what works for one map will work for another. If you're playing in small maps like Dome or Arkaden, go with an SMG like the MP5, UMP45, Mp7, or PP90M1. If you're playing on a large map like Resistance or Village, consider an Assault Rifle with high accuray like the Type 95, an LMG like the new PKP Pecheneg, or even a Sniper Rifle with high accuracy like the MSR.
What fire rate do you want: Automatic, Burst, Semi-Automatic or Bolt Action? Going from a fully automatic weapon like the M4A1 to a three round burst like the M16A4 can be extremely frustrating. If you prefer accuracy and reduced sway/kick, go with the M16A4, but you may want to use that gun right from the get-go to avoid the awkward transition period from automatic to burst weapons.
Remember, picking the weapon that is right for you is all about considering your goal, game mode, map setting, and preffered fire rate. Don't make the mistake of getting used to one weapon and sticking with that weapon throughout the whole game. In multiplayer, Modern Warfare 3 rewards versatile players who can adjust to their surroundings and make important decisions on the fly.

Which Perk should I use in Modern Warfare 3?
Easier said than done
The best Perk is Extreme Conditioning. Ahhhhh%u2026.if it were only so easy!
Saying one Perk is better than another is a lot like comparing apples to oranges. What one player regards as the best perk could be totally different from another player. It all depends on your goal and style of play, as well as the size of map and game mode you're playing in.
Before I get into details, let me start off by describing one of the biggest mistakes players make when it comes to Perks:
Too often, players become accustomed to a certain perk and refuse to switch to another one. A great example from Black Ops is the Marathon Perk%u2026who wouldn't enjoy running around the map for an indefinite amount of time?
Which is fine, until you decide to change perks in another tier, or try out a new game mode. For argument's sake, I'll use another example from Black Ops:
Let's say you're using the Marathon, Lightweight and Slight of Hand Perks and playing Domination in Nuketown. After dominating the competition, you have a sudden change of heart and decide to try your hand at Search and Destroy.
You'll probably find that what worked for you in Domination doesn't work for you in Search and Destroy. Search and Destroy is not about running around like a headless chicken. It's about stealth and patience. So after a few class tweaks, you may find that the Ghost, Warlord, and Hacker Perks are actually more effective.
The same principle from Black Ops and virtually every other Call of Duty game applies to Modern Warfare 3. Deciding what perk to use is not as simple as choosing the best perk from each tier, or the one you are most comfortable using.
Let me repeat this:
Deciding what perk to use is NOT as simple as choosing the best perk from each tier.
To decide what perks to use, you have to consider the synergistic effect of all three perks (in other words, how well they work together) and how this will help you achieve your goal.
So, let's have a look at some of the most common Perk combinations in Modern Warfare 3:
Example #1
Game mode: Search and Destroy
Playing-style: Recon
Perk 1: Blind Eye, to remain undetected by enemy sentries and other air support.
Perk 2: Assassin, to stay hidden from enemy UAV and heart-beat sensors.
Perk 3: Dead Silence, to sneak up on the enemy.
Example #2
Game mode: Free for All
Playing-style: Run and gun
Perk 1: Sleight of Hand to reload faster, OR Extreme Conditioning to run faster.
Perk 2: Quickdraw to draw your weapon faster.
Perk 3: Stalker, to turn corners more sharply.
So, as you can see, picking the best Perk is not as important as picking the best Perks. Also, changing one of your Perks usually means you have change all of your Perks. These tips will help you determine which Perks are right for you based on your own unique style of play.

5 Ways to Win At Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer
(Without Cheating of Course!)
1. Play the perimeter of the map. So many players make the mistake of picking a Shotgun like Striker or 1887s and weaving in and out of corridors like there's no tomorrow. This is not the way the game is played! Remember that it's impossible to die if your back's against the wall and you're a quick shooter. Let me repeat that: it's impossible to die. So keep you back to the wall and your head up.
2. Slow down! Many players love running around maps, exploring every nook and cranny the first time play a map. The problem with this is it seriously weakens your ability to fire quickly. Transitioning from hip fire to Aiming Down the Sites (also known as ADS) is much slower when you're running. So don't think you need to run a marathon just to get that next kill. Oftentimes, it's better just to wait for players to come to you.
3. Learn the maps. Okay people: this one's pretty simple, but important. Learning the maps gives you a huge advantage over the competition. This is why so many people have a hard time picking up the game three months after it's been released. When you know the details of the map, you know when to aim and prepare for the enemy. Let me give you a scenario: in Dome, one the game's smaller maps, there are several twists and turns in underground tunnels. The key to surviving here is knowing when there are large expanses around corners so you can aim down the sites. So without learning the maps, you're basically dead meat just waiting to get picked off by someone who knows the map better than you.
4. Warm up. It may seem silly, but playing Modern Warfare 3 is no different than playing hockey, football or any other sport. Many players improve their stats after they've played for about an hour. This time period is essential to get your eyes and reflexes up to speed. So try playing a bit more defensively that usual when you first pick up the controller.
5. Pick the best weapon. Too many players fall in love with their weapons. The SCAR-L, for example, is used by many players. Unfortunately, that weapon does have its weaknesses (a very low fire rate, for example), but despite these weaknesses, players always pick it. Keep in mind the various advantages and disadvantages of each weapon when you're picking a weapon for the first time.
That's it! That's all there is to winning at Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer. Remembering to play the perimeter, slow down, learn the maps, warm up and picking the best weapon is a sure-fire way to get better at Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer. Happy gaming and good luck!
