If you have countless hours to spend surfing and sampling various offers then you should work for us. We don't have lives either and we spend way too much time online. For everyone else there is a better way. Referral from a trusted source is the best way to find value for free online. We can be that trusted source. We test and unsubscribe from any sign-up that is required. We download, and sample and verify claims made by the offer. If it isn't worth it, we don't list it.

The irony is that the best free offers come from sites that are trying very hard to get you to buy the whole thing. If what you received for free has impressed you, and you find value in it, you might buy the product. I will list 4 excellent examples of great value in a free offer. They involve signing up so always use a secondary free email account and unsubscribe if you don't want any further emails.

It is easier than you think to pull up an old square stone patio and build a nice 15 foot circle patio like I did. I did this by myself over a long weekend.

The stones were free (my friend was pulling up his patio and replacing the stone) and the labor (me) was free. The materials and beer cost just over a hundred. It was early in the spring so if you are doing this in the middle of summer it is likely your beer costs will rise significantly with the temperature.

This is such a terrible word that email filters segregate your emails if it contains this word. Your mail may not get to the person you sent it to, and be lost in a file with all the spam, junk and bulk emails. It is a terrible thing, but it wasn't always this way.

Not too long ago, people used to be on the lookout for this word. It was often sought out and great attention was paid to the mention of it. Everybody wanted to see it. What happened?

Free is not a dirty word, but you would think that it is. Now you have to fool the system by writing f*ree or f re e or even "for absolutely nothing" or your email will be considered spam. It is a shame, but it is the way the world works now. Aggressive marketing has spoiled it for those of us that really do have something free to offer.

What do I have to do to get my message out? Should I invent a new word? From now on "fgriisk" means free. Now I just need to wait 4 or 5 years for it to catch on. A campaign of letters to educators, journalists and authors might help in getting people using my new word. Submissions to dictionaries might help. Perhaps I just need celebrity endorsement.

In order to solve the problem now, I am going to have to work around the draconian ban on the lovely word "free". I will have to subtly use synonymous words and phrases in my emails to gently nudge people towards my website. Once there I can abandon all restraint and good taste, and shout for the world to hear: FREE FREE FREE! That felt good.

How much is free really worth to the average person? It sounds like an odd question until you look at how the word free is used. We are saturated by free, inundated by free, overwhelmed by free. So much stuff is free that I wonder how the heck can anyone afford to stay in business and still give away so much for free?

What about something totally free, delivered to your doorstep, ready to be used, consumed, worn, read, collected, whatever it is you do with it? What would that be worth? I think a little more of that would be a welcome respite from the endless barrage of commerce which blasts us with free offers.

Commerce makes the world go round and everyone has a useful product to sell. The problem is that everyone has to yell louder than everyone else to get noticed. That's called advertising. Buried in all of that, there are free goodies to be claimed, but separating them from the products they are being used to help sell, is the hard part.

Now I get to the point. What is it worth for someone to get all this free stuff that's out there? If you want to dig it up for yourself you will spend hours searching and sifting through the false promises and free with the purchase of...offers. Who needs the frustration? Besides, isn't your time more valuable than that?

I've seen the sites that offer all kinds of free stuff online, for free. You get what you pay for. I think that many people would pay a small fee for a monthly service that searched out genuine free items that were useful and valuable. It would be more than worth the time it saves, looking for all this stuff yourself. Well here is the really good news. We have waived the small fee and have decided to offer you all of this, wait for it......that's right.......Absolutely Free.

If your are interested in starting an online business then you have probably already turned to Google and done some searches. If you don't already know how Google works, you will soon find out. The top pages of listings are likely paying quite a bit to be where they are. They need your cash to afford this placement and any illusions you might have about their supposed benevolence should be set aside. Without being totally cynical I can tell you that 99.9% of these "incredible offers" are carefully crafted sales copy designed to separate you from your hard earned cash.

I bought a package (The Underground Cash Secret) and now I know I was duped into it. I found a site on Google that was offering to help me avoid the scams for free. I subscribed and received emails every couple of days with "lessons" on how these marketers would snare you with their "lies". After a few emails I started to get some recommendations on sites that were a "good value" and that were legitimate.

Eventually I bought the recommended package and the "free advice guy" was likely paid his referral commission. The package was loaded with information and content to help me start my own online business. It came with a freely hosted sales page for 1 of several online products they were selling. I read and read and read for the next several weeks and absorbed the information that I had bought. Many of these "internet marketing secrets revealed e books!" were the same old material, presented over and over again.

Don't get me wrong. I did get an education and I have applied much of what I learned. The promises of easy autopilot income streams were not very accurate. I started receiving phone calls telling me that I was being selected for the honor of personal mentoring so I could join the elite group of internet millionaires. If they had been honest and told me what they were selling and how they could help, I might have considered it. They were misleading, secretive and they lost me as a customer. They were looking for at least another $1000 to start, for coaching and an updated sales page / website. The calls came from Ohio, Las Vegas and Utah. Some of the callers sounded really dumb and unprofessional. When I expressed reluctance to fork over $1000 without more details, the calls stopped and I haven't heard from them in 6 months.

I used what I learned to start a website on creating an online business. It was my first effort and not very good, but the content is useful. I called it The Online Business Source, and tried to use it to promote the product that I got with the "Underground Cash Secret". The product is a "Write At Home" system which is a useful resource for a writer looking to earn online. I have kept the site up despite the fact that it will likely never make any money for me. It is a useful resource and I honestly hope that I can prevent people from getting scammed.
