My 92 Percent Lenses

My Goal: Reaching 100% Status On All Lenses
One of the tools we as Squidoo lensmasters have to ensure the quality of our lenses, is the percentage of completeness. Now, if your lens is 100% complete that does of course not mean that it is a great lens. Nor does it mean that a 92% lens is not completed. But it is a nice way to see the progress of your lens and find which things need to be updated or changed, in order to get a better lens.
After checking my lenses, I found that I have a huge amount of lenses that are floating around in the 92% range, so I thought I could create a lens with these 92% lenses grouped together, in an attempt to promote them and reach the magic 100% range on every single one of them!
Feel free to have a look around and see if any of them catch your attention!

My 92 Percent Lenses
Here is a list of my 92% lenses ... have a look at them and see if you like them, and let me know what you think or what I can improve to make them better! All advice will be appreciated, and I will take comments in mind when updating any of the below lenses, in an attempt to improve!
This Lens Is A Work In Progress
That is right, this lens is no where near finished. The whole goal of this lens is for ME to see which lenses still need work, so that one by one I can start deleting the lenses once they have reached 100%. Today, the 21st of April 2011 I am setting a goal of pushing ALL my lenses to the 100% before the 1st of December 2011.
This means that I will be working on improvements, promotion, building links, getting my lenses traffic, etc, in order to be able to feel ok to finally apply for Giant status. It also means that once I have reached that goal, this lens will stop existing, once all my lenses are at 100%.
Apart from that; I really would like to become a Giant Squid. I have received several emails for Squid Squids already, telling me I should apply, and honestly, I do believe that after creating well over 100 lenses, I should make it my main Squidoo goal for 2011 and do whatever it takes to reach that goal. So I still have 3 shots as Squidoo Grandeur this year, July, September and December. Not sure if I will be able to apply first round, seeing that I have to make some major improvements to many lenses, spell check, update, change pictures etc to feel comfortable enough to apply again.
The 100% lens qualifications can mean a nice push though to reach that goal, keeping my fingers crossed that I will reach both Squidoo goals this year.
Some people consider it cheating to ask for squidlikes on 92% lenses. Fact is though that I am not begging you to squidlike my lenses, you should only squidlike a lens when you feel it deserves that honor and that goes for all lenses you come across!

It would be great to see this lens get to a 100% as well, but for now, it is still a 92% lens as well and the only way I can get it to 100%, is by the support of you guys!

When the percentages were first shown to lensmasters, there were numerous threads on the squidu.com forum, discussing whether or not the new percentage indication was a good thing. Personally i do like it, and it encourages me to get all my lenses to 100%, revisiting with them, updating them and promoting them, the way I should have done when I first started to create them.
A lot of lensmasters do feel though that 100% is just a little indication, and that it does not automatically mean that a 100% is all that great. There are more ways to measure quality and the set of requirements that has been set, does lack a few standard issues that are not looked at. Let me know what your opinion is, which issues are missing? Has it changed the view you had on your lenses? Does it encourage you to do a better job?

- Getting better all the time. I made a lot of progress with 0 lenses for 3 years and over 50 in the past year. 92 percenters will come in time. Good job here!

- Every new lens is at 92%. One lensmaster was being bothered by the 92% in the forum a while back, I went visiting and discovered some to be high up in tier 1, now that's a problem I'd love to have! I guess the 92% just doesn't bother me. May you meet your 100% goal!
