My CD Collections from the Late '90's and a Bit After
Ranked #12,133 in Music, #330,098 overall
The Era of Boy Bands and Pop Music
Back in the late '90s I got so into pop music, boy bands, MTV, etc. much like any normal 17 year olds. Here I want to share the different CDs I collected (with allowance money I saved) and name some of my favorite songs from those albums. I'll be adding links from Amazon since I have no individual photos of them uploaded in my laptop. I hope you enjoy!
Backstreet Boys
Yep! Believe it or not, this was the very first CD I ever bought. I remember hearing the single "Get Down (You're The One For Me)" and I just got addicted to it. I loved dancing to it and would try to get a clean record of it from the radio using a cassette tape. Yes, those were the days! Anyway, I obviously was not satisfied with my recording that I bought their CD. Other favorites from the album: Anywhere for You, I'll Never Break Your Heart, Quit Playing Games.
A Different Beat
This is the second album I bought and it all began with the song "Words." This is an album by the Irish band Boyzone and I loved their revival of this song... it didn't hurt that they were also goodlooking lads. Haha! Other faves from the album: Isn't It A Wonder, Ben, Melting Pot, Strong Enough.
Said and Done
Ok, did I mention that I liked watching MTV too that time? Well yes, and that's how I got to know of the older songs from Boyzone such as "Love Me for a Reason." And you guessed it, yes I bought their first album too. Other favorites from this album: Coming Home Now, So Good, Key To My Life, Father And Son.
911 plus Ant and Dec CDs
Do you notice a trend forming here? Yes, I had boy band fever! I can't really remember the order of the CDs that I bought next so i will just list them all randomly now. From the band 911 I got the albums The Journey (songs: The Day We Find Love, Party People... Friday Night, Love Sensation) and Moving On (songs: All I Want Is You, How Do You Want Me To Love You). From the duo Ant and Dec I got the album called The Cult of Ant & Dec. My faves from this album: When I Fall In Love, Falling, Crazy, Apology.

More BSB and Boyzone plus 'N Sync
I got 2 more BSB albums: Backstreet's Back (like songs - As Long As You Love Me, All I Have To Give) and Black & Blue (like songs - Shape Of My Heart, The Answer To Our Life, More Than That, It's True, What Makes You Different). From Boyzone I also got the album Where We Belong (2 copies I might add! 'coz they added a song after I bought one). Like songs: Picture Of You, Baby Can I Hold You, All That I Need, No Matter What, I Love The Way You Love Me. From 'N Sync I got the CD No Strings Attached (faves: Bye Bye Bye, It's Gonna Be Me, It Makes Me Ill, This I Promise You, No Strings Attached).
BSB, Boyzone & 'N Sync Albums
98 Degrees And Rising
This album from 98 Degrees has the following favorites: If She Only Knew, I Do Cherish You, Because Of You, True To Your Heart, The Hardest Thing.
Westlife Albums
Ok I have the first 3 albums from this band: Westlife (songs - Swear It Again, If I Let You Go, Flying Without Wings, Fool Again, No No, What I Want Is What I've Got, Can't Lose What You Never Had), Coast To Coast (songs - My Love, I Lay My Love On You, Against All Odds, When You're Looking Like That, Somebody Needs You, Close) and World Of Our Own (songs - Bop Bop Baby, Uptown Girl, World Of Our Own, If Your Heart's Not In It).
Ronan
This is the first solo album of Boyzone's lead singer Ronan Keating. Favorite songs: Life Is A Rollercoaster, The Way You Make Me Feel, When You Say Nothing At All.
Savage Garden CDs
From the Australian pop duo Savage Garden, I got their debut album simply called Savage Garden with the songs I Want You, To The Moon And Back, Truly Madly Deeply, Santa Monica. I also got their second album Affirmation with songs Affirmation, Hold Me, I Knew I Loved You, Crash And Burn, The Animal Song.
Talk On Corners
I know, I know you're probably saying I only liked male artists. I also got a few from the females and I'll start with the Irish band dominated by sisters, The Corrs. From their album Talk On Corners my faves include Only When I Sleep, Dreams, So Young, What Can I Do, I Never Loved You Anyway, Don't Say You Love Me, Runaway, Intimacy (almost all of it pretty much).
Shades Of Purple
This album is from M2M. I find this duo pretty talented because at a very young age they were able to make their own music and they also play musical instruments. Faves from the album: Don't Say You Love Me, Mirror Mirror, Pretty Boy, Everything You Do, The Day You Went Away.
Britney Spears CDs
Of course my collection wouldn't be a collection from the late '90s without the legendary Miss Britney Spears. Albums from that time that I bought from her: ...Baby One More Time (faves - ...Baby One More Time, You Drive Me Crazy, Sometimes, Born To Make you Happy, From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart, I Will Be There, I Will Still Love You, Email My Heart) and Oops... I Did It Again (faves - Oops... I Did It Again, Stronger, What U See Is What You Get, Lucky, You Got It All).
