Scariest Movies Ever

retweet

I love horror movies, although I must admit that after I watched them I can't sleep. I know, it seems pretty crazy to love something that terrifies you, but I think that's the whole purpose.

We love them because they scare us, we love to be scared and to be terrified. That's why scary movies are never going to grow old, people are always wanting to be scare, we need that rush of fear. And the scarier the movies is , the more we love it.

Come inside my lens and check out all the movies that I think are really scary. If you know any movie besides the one I have here, please feel free to share them with us.

Thank you enjoy!

The Exorcist

The Exorcist is a 1973 film about a girl in Washington D.C that was possessed by some kind of a demon. Linda Blair stars in this controversial movie.

This movie was based in true events, but instead of a girl it was a boy who got possessed.

Those truly are some classic scary movies! IT and the Exorcist are definitely in my top 10. ?They all float down here!? I found some of those and some of my other favorites like The Think and the Descent at DISHOnline.com. They have a great Editor Feature of some of the best scary movies of all time available to watch online or rent to my DVR. They have a ton of other horror movies too. DISHOnline is included as a part of service from DISH Network, my employer. They have a lot of free content for everyone and even more with DISH Network service. There I have enough scary movies to watch a few every day during the month of October!

I like "The Exorcist" After years of having only seen the tail end of this movie in re-runs on TV, I finally bought the DVD, and found that the high point is right at the beginning. For me, the Exorcist has something which is sorely lacking in rival diabolic-possession movies (the Shining, the Omen, etc): the devil's Middle Eastern origins. Everything else in the film is just icing on the cake. Incidentally, I wouldn't recommend Exorcist II/the Heretic, or Dominion, the prequel. If you want to watch the better prequel, and go back further to find out where the Devil came from, then you must watch "Exorcist: the Beginning".

All hardcore Satanic-possession movies, I think, should have at least some acknowledgement of the Devil's origins, complete with Middle Eastern music in the soundtracks, to give an air of genuineness to the story. The Exorcist is the only one I've watched so far which fills that bill---and the way it does so is a hard act to follow.

Great lens. I'd also add Nightmare on Elm Street. I remember when I first saw it (I was around 13-14, I think), it scared the living hell out of me (or into me, not really sure which way it went ;) ).
