The Best Markers Money Can Buy

I love markers! I consider myself to be a marker junkie. When I see a new kind of marker that I have yet to try I just have to have them.

I use them for everything from extensive art projects to every day tasks. There is a seemingly endless variety of markers out there and numerous uses for them, like drawing, painting, sketching, highlighting, and of course writing.

In this lens I would like to tell you about some of my favorite markers that I have tried and share with you some really awesome looking markers that I have yet to try.

I'd also like to share some tips and techniques for using markers and give you some exciting project ideas.

Artist Qualitly Markers

Tombow Dual Brush Markers

I absolutely love these markers! They have two tips, a brush tip, and a fine bullet point tip. They blend very easily. The ink is water-based so there is no odor. They come in a wide range of colors and have many uses.

Prismacolor Premier Double-Ended Markers

These markers are great! They offer a ton of colors. One end has a chisel tip that can be used to create a variety of lines. The other end is a fine point. The ink is permanent and waterproof. They do however have a strong odor and tend to bleed slightly.

Markers I can't wait to try!

Here are some markers that look amazing! I can't wait to try them. The only reason I haven't tried these is lack of funding. But if you've tried them, please let me know what you thought in the comments below.

Primsa is my favorite color pencil brand... but Copic rules markers for me. Any art or design kid thats been into anime and manga knows that Copic are what Japanese mangaka artists use! Its imported from Japan, so it is much more expensive. I had a set I played around with years ago. They blend like a dream and there is even a air brush you can get for the markers that goes with them.

I know I said that Copic are my favorite, but I actually USE sharpie since they are... you know. Attainable.

As a design student I would use them primarily to hide the white tips of my art projects that I had mounted on black board for presentation. In order to make it flush with the black you hold the black board so its standing up and run a black sharpie all along the top on each side to make it flush with the black.
