My Favorite Nintendo Video Game Cheat Codes

I have played video games for over 25 years and to this day, there is no system that brings back fonder memories than the Nintendo Entertainment System. I vividly remember Christmas of 1987. The Nintendo was wrapped in candy cane striped paper under the Christmas tree. The box was the same dimensions as the box my friend's Nintendo came a few months earlier for his birthday. For two weeks I stared at that box, before and after school, a quick peek before bed. I couldn't believe that soon I would be able to play Super Mario Bros. at my house, on my TV, any time I wanted. I would soon be the owner of a Nintendo Entertainment System.

I created this lens to showcase some of my favorite cheat codes and passwords for the Nintendo Entertainment System. I always try to beat a game first without codes, at least until the frustration boils to the point where I want to whip the controller at the TV. I've never played Contra without the 30 lives Konami Code. It's too much fun to play with reckless abandon. Enjoy.
