The Front Door
This is a small Thrift Shop, in a small town, on Main Street, not one of those large stores that take up a city block.
All their profit goes to families that need help or food in their own town.
When you walk in you will see three or four volunteer ladies.
They have their schedule, and on Monday, Nancy and Grace are there....Tuesday would be Frannie....and Janice is always there on Friday.
And believe me, these ladies work hard, but I always hear laughter and bantering....a pleasant atmosphere for looking around.
I most often leave with some treasure I have found, something I never knew I needed.
And I donate a lot. I usually bring something every time I stop in, often, things I have bought there in the first place!

My Silver Shoes!
I love these shoes!I bought them at my favorite thrift shop last week. I'll be using them for some of my special occasions.
They're flats. I gave up the high heels quite a while ago, but I still like to look dressy.
I think the cut-out design is unique, and, they're a good brand name. I will be ready for any parties that come up!

What a spectacular pendant!At the front of the thrift shop is a jewelry box that holds random jewlery, hair ornaments, key rings, things like that.
Looking through it, I picked up a large, red, glass stone. I had to have it, for what, I don't know. When paying for it, the lady at the counter told me that it had a 'frame', to go back and look for it. I did find the original setting, with a chain attached.....took it home, glued the stone back in.....and look at it now!
Have fun with jewlery. It doesn't always have to be real gold or silver.
The Thrift Shop is a great place to find jewlery treasures. I was happy to add this spectacular pendant to my collection.

Toys, Toys....Everywhere!
This is the toy area.....it's a mess, isn't it?That's because, when the children come in with their Mothers, they go right to that toy area.
They stand at the table, or sit on the floor, and play with all the toys.
They're happy and having fun, no one minds.
When the Shop receives a donation of new, unused toys, they save it for Christmas. They will, then, give them out as gifts for the children.
There's something for everyone in My Favorite Thrift Shop!
And, Of Course, BOOKS
The thrift shop is a wonderful place to buy books.Some of the books are brand new, some used, some very old, and, every topic under the sun, from childrens books to cook books.
When I was a kid, I read every single Nancy Drew book.
Nancy was eighteen, drove a car, and did detective work for her lawyer Father, Carson Drew.
I love coming across those old books that I remember so well.
And don't forget the vintage records. Remember those 45s and the albums?
It can be a trip down memory lane.

Thursdays Are The Best
Every Thursday, the local supermarket and the bakery, donate baked goods to the Thrift Shop.This includes muffins, cookies, brownies, danish, bagles, rolls and italian bread.
The ladies sort it out, and make individual packages.
These goodies are put up front, by the door, for the customers.
They can choose what they like....one package only, please.....no charge.
I always look forward to Thursdays at the Thrift Shop!

- I love shopping in thrift shops. I never know what I will find an' that's almost as much fun as finding a treasure chest. I enjoyed going to your Etsy store, although I was a bit confused when I clicked to go to your blog.
