MY FAVORITE UNIQUE SOLAR LIGHTS

The technology is coming. Going green. solar and wind energy is becoming more popular each and every year. Who would have ever thought years ago, you could take a battery and set it out side in a decorative statue and the sun would recharge the battery for us. Truely a gift from Mother Nature.
I have become some what of a collector of solar lamps, and I use them mostly inside of my house. As some children cannot sleep without a night light, well my clostophobia makes it difficult for me to sleep in complete darkness.

And since I now have collected so many of them, I find I can shed alot of light in a room just by setting the solar lights around the room.

I believe some people get discouraged with solar lighting, because they feel they don't last. Well I will have to admit at first I did find, I felt the same way. But then I found out what was going wrong. Yes, technology has come a long way, but I have found the solar panels will wear and deteriorate, if they are exposed to the weather. Even the ones you see on the highway, that power the sign that says either construction ahead or yield to oncoming traffic. They too are powered by solar energy, however, if the panels are left out in the rain, they eventually have to be replaced.

So what I did is what alot of people I will agree would not do. I set mine out on my front open porch, for the solar rays to charge the batteries and then bring them inside to light my house. I admit it takes a little effort.

But if you have a sunny window with a window sill, you can also just sit it there and it will charge and can be used as a night light.

The techology is getting better. I remember when it was only the steak in the ground with a little light, that was available. Once you are reading this page and looking at the pictures you will realize just how far this techology has come
