Why am I writing here
I never thought of myself as a writer. In a way, I still do not. However I know I have a lot of interests to share with others. I feel everyone has experiences in life that we can share with others that can help other people understand, relate, or even have piece of mind. When I first signed up with the site Squidoo I was somewhat afraid to put any effort into it as I came from ehow and made money but had a lot of my work deleted.
Some of my goals with this site are:
*Learn
For me learning has become a pastime of sorts. Learning to me is worth far more then money.
*Share my life
Sharing what has happened to me and what I am may be going through could helps others, to me that makes me feel good.
*Money
No joke about it, I need money you need it too, however I have come to realize that sometimes money is not everything in life.
*My family
When I benefit so do they, so in the end most of what I do is to help my family. If I learn something that helps, if I earn something that helps too!

Topics that inspire me
What subjects do I like? Honestly, I like a wide range of topics. Making money, improving one's life, affirmations, family, health are just a few topics that I enjoy writing about and reading about. I tend to lean toward topics that are relevant to me in my life. Why? I tend to understand something better if it relates to me. I do also enjoy hearing others life goals and sharing how they achieve them.

Another goal another day
Thinking of more goals that can be added to this blog one comes to my mind that I would like to call a mini goal. What my next idea for a goal is to have 50 lens by the end of April 2012. This may seem like a simple task, it can be. However this goal will take a lot more into account for me other then creating content. First, I need to write well, and strictly on one topic. After reviewing a few other lens here at Squidoo it occurred to me that quality is way better then quantity. One can make far more with the site if a lens is specialized versus just written. So this is my next goal...
Update on my work here at Squidoo
Currently I have around 23 lens that seem to not be a work in progress also known as wip. For me I feel that is pretty good considering the fact that I have been a member of the site for over 3 years but never put any real effort into any articles. I now know I want to put work in and see where it leads me.
I know there are options of becoming a Squidoo Angel and other possible goals to add to my list. For now my direction is leaning more toward reaching my goal of 50 lens by a certain date. I want to start messing with more modules within my lenses too. My hope is I can start creating better content as I know some of my lens lack words. That is my thought on my goals with Squidoo. Please come back often to see my progress.

This ring looks so awesome. I told myself years ago that I love rings but do not like wearing them... I know that makes little sense but my hope is at some point with my Squidoo I can buy this nice, pretty ring. Wear it, maybe but either way it looks wonderful in the picture.
100 Squidoo Lenses
Another goal for me to add to the list. I seem to think the best way to earn money here is to have at least 100 lenses. How did I come to that conclusion. First and foremost every topic you write about will not work for all readers. We all have different likes, dislikes etc. So the thought today came into my mind that I would like to make it to 100 lenses on the Squid.
I have another goal to make it to 50 which at this point I am halfway there. Let's see what more my crazy mind can come up with.

What would I buy today if I had a lot of money!
No income
So far I have made no money with Squidoo. I am not one to give up easily in some areas of my life. I am looking currently at the simple facts. I know very little about SEO online. I for one tend to write in first person way too much. It just seems today seems like one of those days when I want to give up. I really like this site, but if I cannot make money from it, I cannot put forth an effort into it. I know it takes time to earn online, but it seems I am not able to learn what I need to about writing online. I gave it a fair shot, I may still write more. I am just bummed that earning money seems so far away.
Month of March
So far I still have made no money on the site. I have around 30 lenses and I have not earned money from Squidoo or affiliate programs I am promoting. I still have hope that I can make money, promoting is what I have been doing and updating my lenses too! I plan to still reach 100 lenses. Not there yet...but working my way there.

- I think you should learn from reading the works of those who really earn from Squidoo. Besides, SEO is the key and content is king. Read as much as you do. Enjoy while doing the process. :)

- It really is a lot of hard work to earn money online. Everything you learn does pay off though. In my opinion, if you don't enjoy writing, then you will probably not earn. But, if you love to write, then try to learn one new thing each week and apply it to your lenses by doing updates. Over time your lenses will become more successful.

Update April 2012
Earnings are still not there for me. Currently I have 33 lenses and some work in progress ones. For me at this point I am still willing to put forth some effort to see where this goes. I have not put in a lot of time because time is important to me I have three daughters and cannot spend many hours online in order to make a few bucks.
Current goals with Squidoo updated.
Goal by the end of May is to have 50 lens up and running.
This should be doable considering I am more then half way there.
Learn more about tagging and seo writing.
Putting effort into other writing ventures online that I have been looking into.
Earn money offline as well. This is a big one, having a plan A, B and so on is important in this world.
So be realistic and learn everything you can about this site if you want to earn from it.

Applied for Squid Angel
This is something I found as a neat option on the site. Having around 40 lens currently I made the choice today to apply to be a squid angel. I hope I am accepted and I will be off blessing lenses which I find need the blessing. In terms of goals for writing, my plan is to have around 55 lenses by the middle of May. If I stay on task I should be to accomplish this with no issues or problems.
I am also updating my lenses that I have now in hopes to get better rankings on those too.

May 1st My thoughts for the day....
Feeling rather good today. I plan to start walking daily again to get my juices flowing and feel better about myself. Back to the topic, squidoo goals. I have still not heard from the Squid Angel program yet... I have no fear about it to be honest. For me I like being here and having an outlet to my minds thoughts.

*Work on backlinking

Update on my Squidoo Adventure
So far so good. I am at 50 lens although I have a few works in progress. I am happy to report that I am really getting better at making lenses. I see more now about updating as a priority then creating. My plan is to have at least 60 lenses by the end of June.
More info to share. I have learned to use the side widgets now to maximize my earnings from Amazon. That hopefully will increase sales on my lenses.
