The Next Best Web 2.0 Revenue Sharing Website?

For several years now I have been a hardcore fan of writing for Web 2.0 social media revenue sharing websites like Squidoo, Xomba, eHow, Suite101, and HubPages. While Squidoo was always among one of my favorites, for as much as I love it, sometimes I found myself having a very difficult time earning real money here. Even though I absolutely love creating Squidoo lenses, I constantly looked for new places to write in conjunction with Squidoo. I quickly found that few websites boasted of the same tight-knit and helpful community as Squidoo, however, as I began to really research the business models and revenue sharing arrangements of similar website platforms, I began to notice something incredibly shocking.

Moving in Stealth

With a 75-90% Revenue Share, while some called me crazy for investing so much time in a low ranking website, I couldn't help but take notice....

Explosive Growth Trends

Unparralleled by Most Social Media Outlets Today!

Exponential Growth of Info BarrelDetermined to find the next best Web 2.0 revenue sharing website, I devoted quite a bit of time to the detailed research and analysis of many similar website platforms. I developed a very stringent set of criteria and I knew that finding a new site, that met my standards of offerings and functionality, would be very difficult....if not impossible. Determined to succeed, I pin-pointed up to 18 similar Web 2.0 revenue sharing platforms that were all in various stages of growth and development.

What Makes Info Barrel Stand Out From the Rest?

Elements of Functionality Dissected

If I were to find the next Squidoo, HubPages, or eHow, I knew I had a monumental challenge on my hands from the very beginning of my research. In fact, when one looks at their membership and massive amounts of content, it's very clear that these are among some of the elite websites, not just in the revenue sharing industry, but also: in the world. Squidoo alone has over 1,500,000 members registered for it's forum alone, which immediately told me that there was a hungry crowd just waiting to find the next best website.Image and video hosting by TinyPic
  • Revenue Sharing Arrangement -- While a website's revenue share arrangement isn't necessarily the 'end-all-be-all' of consideration, it is a great starting point by which to gauge the generosity of websites. I can't blame people for going where they feel like they have the most to gain. Can you?
  • Transparency in Revenue Share -- Long before I even began to analyze the revenue sharing arrangements of various Web 2.0 sites, I had noticed something incredibly odd. Even though no advertisement network requires secrecy regarding revenue share, many sites insisted on keeping how exactly they shared revenue with writers a secret. While there revenue sharing arrangement is complex, Squidoo is one admirable site, like Info Barrel, that has chosen to be very transparent with it's users regarding how exactly revenue is shared.
  • Ability to Publish in Multiple Formats -- While many websites limit the format templates that writers can publish, Info Barrel does not. Some websites have inherently limited their residual writers to a "How-to" format, which, from an SEO standpoint, can be very limiting in terms of opportunity to earn.
  • Effective Quality Control Process -- While many love to have their content published immediately upon submission, the rampant submission of low quality content has led many websites to fall out of favor with Google. When this happens, not only is a collective site affected, but so are the earnings of each individual user. You may recall this occurring to Squidoo, a few years ago, in what has been dubbed the infamous "Google Slap". In order to combat this, and not cave into pressure from users (and, thus, safeguard the high quality of their database, Info Barrel has implemented an initial 10-article manual review submission process. During this time, the owners are afforded the opportunity to become familiar with your content submissions, and determine whether you are using the site just to game the system for your own benefit, or if you are interested in contributing high quality content.

In anticipation of creating this Squidoo lens about Info Barrel, I actually wrote this series of questions, filtered them through blogger, Pat Flynn, and he submitted them to Info Barrel owner, Ryan McKenzie. This video appeared in his hallmark Blog Post entitled "The Next Best Revenue Sharing Website Is...."

an easy 90% revenue share!)

While Many Laughed....

I Kept Writing.

Info BarrelIdentifying Info Barrel as a fast growing website, while in it's infancy, came bundled with alot of pros- and cons-. While Info Barrel had a highly competitive revenue sharing arrangement, and alot of other superior elements of functionality, it was very new to the revenue sharing industry when I first began writing for them in August 2009. When a website is young, no matter how superior and generous their offerings are, they still have to attract users, promote high quality content, and gain favor and authority in Google. A site can offer a 100% revenue share, but, if they aren't seen as an authority, individual writer's articles will rank lower and writer's won't earn nearly what they could on high pagerank (PR) webdsites.

Info Barrel presented a perfect storm, however.

While noticing these undeniable trends in growth early, I began to seriously stockpile my database of articles. Even though some join Info Barrel, expecting overnight riches only to publish one article and leave, I began to take my earnings and outsource writing. With over 260+ articles now, I continue to add content on a daily basis.

Don't Think It's Possible to REALLY Earn on Info Barrel?

...You May Want to Check Out These Articles and Success Stories...

I joined Info Barrel in August 2009. While I have yet to unveil my own Info Barrel earnings report quite yet (at the time of this writing), there are many who have. In the following Info Barrel articles (Info Barrel Success stories from the Info Barrel blog), you will see just how the Info Barrel community has been gaining motivation to continually write for this massively growing emergin platform, by sharing their own earnings and success stories with each other.

As the time of this writing, it is important to note that these earnings have been achieved under the following conditions:

  • Info Barrel is a PR4 site with significantly less Google favor and search engine authority than alot of competing Web 2.0 websites. These earnings are particularly significant because, at this stage of Info Barrel's growth, I fully anticipate that some of the lead Info Barrel writers will be earning in excess of $2,000+/month quite easily.
  • Info Barrel has very responsive, and involved, management that are actively engaged in the Community. They openly disclose the steps they are taking, as far as researching and testing various ad placements, in order to best maximize the revenue of their writers.
  • These earning are significant because they are the result of a 90% lifetime revenue share on all hosted content. I encourage you to research the offerings of similar website platforms and consider what they offer. Info Barrel's generosity in revenue share is making them very popular, very quickly, with hundreds of new members joining each day.
  • Because there are actually many ways to earn through Info Barrel, the below earnings reports may or may not include so methods of earnings. While Google Adsense has typically produced the highest earnings on Info Barrel, as it does for many sites, writers do NOT have to share in contextually placed Clickbank, Linkshare, Commission Junction, or a variety of other affiliate network earnings. When placed contextually, writers do not have to share Amazon earnings, either, however, Info Barrel does currently include an Amazon module where writers can earn up to 90% revenue share similar to Google Adsense and Chitika.
If you are interested in participating in the next Squidoo, eHow, or HubPages, it would be an absolute honor to have you sign up under my affiliate link, or you can sign up by going through the Info Barrel main home page, as well.

Info Barrel writer, Travis_Aitch, shares his success story on Info Barrel's blog.

What Has Your Info Barrel Experience Been Like(?)

I Encourage You to Share With Others.

Long after I publish this Squidoo lens, Info Barrel's growth trends indicate that it will continue to grow exponentially. At the time of this writing, Info Barrel has over 30,000+ members, and a Google Pagerank of 4. As Info Barrel continues to grow, so also will the opportunity for writers to earn grow. Please, do NOT miss this opportunity!

While I have had a few of my articles published on InfoBarrel, I'm kinda on the fence right now. The last article I submitted was denied. They cited "duplicate content" as the reason, but the link they provided as proof lead to a Tumblr article that was of the same niche, but content was completely different. I am trying to remain civil about it, but it angers me when I am accused of plagiarism when I have NEVER plagiarized anything in my life. Maybe after I have a cooling off period, I might submit another article to IB. By the way, great lens and great explanation of the growth potential at InfoBarrel.

At the time of this writing (and comment submission), Info Barrel is a massively growing PR4 site. That means that, while it is growing, it doesn't have quite the search engine authority that more established sites have (sites like Squidoo have simply been around alot longer). Even still, writers have a tremendous opportunity to take advantage of Info Barrel while it is a young site. Hot article titles can be taken, and, when Info Barrel is a PR7 site, these titles will be EXTREMELY valuable.

In the meantime, STRICTLY from Adsense revenue share, I am earning several hundred dollars a month. My partner, Jason, who wrote the Info Barrel eBook Course with me, is making near $1,000/month (In strictly Adsense revenue share).

What has YOUR experience been like with Info Barrel?

Unparalleled Belief

Enroute to Becoming a Top-100 Alexa Property

InfoBarrelSuccess.comTo further ostracize myself from those who thought it was uncool to publish content to a PR4 website, I decided to do the unthinkable: I approached the leading Info Barrel contributor and earner, at the time, jcmayer777, and asked him if he would like to collaborate on writing the first Info Barrel eBook. Rather than be a fly-by-nite, eBook that one person assembles quickly, we set out to make an authority course for Info Barrel.

Some people thought we were crazy, but we kept writing for 5+ months.

Based on our research, we were absolutely convinced that Info Barrel would become a top-ranked Web 2.0 revenue sharing community in the world. Little did we know our course would begin to show up on the radar of many influential bloggers' blogs.

(*NOTE: A greatly discounted price, along with an alternate form of payment that won't cost you a dime, are available for a limited time here!) This Course has sold MANY copies at a $97 price point.)

Escalating Value

As Info Barrel Continues to Grow.

Escalating ValueAfter having our comprehensive Course purchased by a 'market' as diverse as college students to Marketing Directors of Top-SEO firms, we intentionally planned for a very unusual, but effective, marketing approach to our product. The value we have injected can be seen in the following areas:

  • We naturally aligned the success of our course with the success of the Info Barrel platform. With exponential growth, those who begin writing and submitting content to Info Barrel NOW will be in a similar position as those who discovered Squidoo, eHow, or HubPages when they were in their infancy. This website is akin to the next killer stock to hit Wall Street, and your writing can be seen as an investment, of sorts.

  • We completely dissected the offerings, ethics, potential for future growth potential, and functionality of up to 18 similar Web 2.0 revenue sharing websites. While all of these websites are essentially a business at heart, we fully understand why many people would flock to the website(s) that simply offer them the most in terms of revenue share.

  • Beyond the revenue sharing functionality of Info Barrel, a small handful of people have asked us to immediately stop selling this product simply because of the edge it will give others in succeeding online. Truth be told, the BEST time to begin writing for a site like Info Barrel is when it is young, and the hot article titles have yet to be secured. It won't be very long before the platform becomes so saturated that you'll have difficulty laying claim to the Info Barrel Article titles that will REALLY earn you alot of money.
Sadly, few will recognize this opportunity, and really take advantage of it, until it is to late. The growth trends are undeniable.

Where Our Info Barrel Course Leaves Off

Hey, We Had to Stop Somewhere

For our 5-6 months of writing, and gathering up outstanding reviews, our Info Barrel Course has quickly become an 'authority' course for writing online. Everything within this course, we attribute to helping us both earn thousands of dollars while writing for Info Barrel. Long before some of the SEO-specialists and 'Gurus' caught on to the trends underlying Info Barrel, Jason and I had over 600+ high quality Info Barrel articles submitted.
  • Tacticalshflow.com -- Howie's Blog
  • Quickly realizing that I had some many experiences and insights to share, tacticalcashflow.com is my blog that anyone can visit. There, I really strive hard to give the best, most current, insights into social media and how it can be effectively leveraged to earn you money. Whether you write for Info Barrel or not, you will find some blog posts are very much about writing and submitting content online.
  • Market Samurai (Free Trial)
  • Everything that Jason and I have done on Info Barrel was done without the use of other tools and resources. It wasn't until months after releasing our course, that we began using tools and resources that expounded upon the foundational principles that we taught. You absolutely do NOT need a tool like Market Samurai (free trial), however, since Jason and I began using it, we have been able to save ourselves literally thousands of hours by completely demasking and dethroning the competition (who rank high in Google) that our Info Barrel articles directly compete with.

    Exploring New Territory

Revenue Share Websites, like Info Barrel, Are Becoming Insanely Popular!

Although each listed website may have a slightly different take on it's platform functionality and offerings, each of these websites does essentially the same thing: they provide anyone with the opportunity to write, and earn money (revenue share) from their writing. These websites are among some of the most popular websites in the entire world.

(Even though Info Barrel is clearly among one of my favorite sites, I'd LOVE to hear which site(s) you like the most!)
