About the Creators of My Keepon

Keepon was first envisaged nearly 10 years ago in Japan by Dr. Hideki Kozima, who wanted to prove his theory that autistic children could be helped to interact with others by using a robot which could react to touch and sound.

In collaboration with Dr. Marek Michalowski, Dr. Kozima eventually produced the robot that appeared on YouTube dancing to Spoon's "I turn my camera on". It proved so popular that everyone wanted one - but not with that price tag - so the two scientists worked with British toymaker WOW! Stuff to produce the My Keepon Dancing Robot.
