Amazon Kindle2 Review

Welcome to My Kindle2 Review of Amazon's New Wireless Reading Device. Once again, I am excited about a new technology and just had to share about this amazing Kindle2 device. My Kindle2 Review will walk you through an overview of the New Kindle2 and hopefully by the time you are done reading my article about the Kindle2, you will at least be cognoscente to the fact that the future of books and libraries is rapidly changing.

Just like electronic music downloads has become a mainstay, we will see books and other publications go widely electronic in the next few years. Within My Kindle2 Review you will see how valuable a resource this device is, and if you decide to buy one, it will quickly become a device you wonder how you ever lived without!

Common concerns

Eye strain and battery life

Amazon Kindle DXTruth is, technology scares a lot of people. Imagine no more pages to turn, it can be a big change. One of the biggest concerns with the new Kindle2 is will the screen cause unnecessary eye strain that would not be a concern with a traditional book or other publication. The Kindle2 has been designed with this in mind, in fact the screen was designed to look just like the page of a book. Font sizes can easily be adjusted large or small depending upon your preference. You can even read in the bright sun, with no glare.Do you worry about things like, what if my battery dies right in the middle of a murder mystery? Tests indicate that with wireless turned on (for shopping or browsing books online) the Kindle2 battery will last about 4 days. If you turn off the wireless functionality, you will get almost 2 full weeks of battery life out of it. As you can see, the Kindle2 comes with a long lasting battery, so chances are you probably don't even need to worry about it. You will find that the New Kindle2 is a well thought out technology device and will make for a great reading experience!

Wireless . . . How does that work?

Good question, but don't sweat it!

Amazon Kindle DXThe New Kindle2 is high tech, using a wireless 3G network to allow you to connect and download new reading material in less than 60 seconds. It uses the same technology as a cell phone, but you don't have to pay a monthly charge; Amazon covers that for you. All you pay for is the new books and publications that you want to buy. And most are at a discount from the printed version because it is digital and the publisher doesn't have a significant expense to recover in printing. So I suppose you could say "Buy a Kindle2, Save a Tree". There is no special technical knowledge necessary to use the New Kindle2, it is already set up and ready to go wireless, right out of the box. You can just download and start enjoying a great book in minutes.

Other High-Tech Features

You won't believe this stuff!

Imagine coming to a word you don't know and instead of just skipping over it or digging out your dictionary to look it up, you simply use the Kindle2 to instantly define the word for you. The Kindle2 has an on-board dictionary at your fingertips. Easy to use and fast, so you don't get distracted from your reading. There is also an encyclopedia if you want to look up something you are curious about. These tools alone will make you wonder how you ever got by with the old school method of looking things up. One other amazing feature that the New Kindle2 offers is a Text-to-Speech function. For example, you can plug in your earphones and listen to the morning paper. It is clear to see that the future of the written word is going digital. That concludes My Kindle2 Review and good luck in your transition to the realm of the paperless. I think you will enjoy it!

What book are you currently reading?

My bet is that it is available on the new Kindle2
