My Lensography - By Artyfax

These are a group of pages which offer advice for artists creating artist trading cards.

Artist Trading Cards (ATC's and Art Cards - Editions & Originals or ACEO's) are covered by this series of lenses. The only difference is that ACEO cards are sold whilst ATC cards are only ever traded. they are both miniature pieces of art measuring 2.5 x 3.5 inches and can be created in almost any media you can imagine. Further explanations if needed are given in the relevant lenses.

This series contains a number of pages offering creative ideas and practical advice to the budding artist . I do have a long list of topics to cover, limited only by the time that I have available at the moment. so please visit often to look for new additions.

I have been painting, mainly in watercolour for a number of years and have sold paintings on Ebay in the past. As I did not find this a rewarding use of my time, I gave up this means of selling my paintings a few years ago.

A group of lenses including an eclectic mixture of topics on art-related issues. Some of these will cover personal views on issues to which I find I need an answer.

Another of my hobbies is writing songs, something that I have done ever since I learned to play a guitar at 15. I think I have learned a lot over the past 50 years even if I have never had the courage to perform in public. I will be trying to pass some of this learning on in this series of lenses. I hope it will be useful to budding song writers out there. Much of what I will be writing about relates to lyrics and therefore to poetry, which I also write for fun. As of April, I have started to add lenses about my poetry.

Many of the tips will be those that I have picked up over the years but I hope to provide links to other web-sites where you will find more advice. Again this series is a work in progress, and new pages will be added in the future.

This group is here by default, I should have included it with the art-related lenses but I am unsure how many will be added here in the fullness of time. I take photos for pleasure only but do make use of editing software and I believe that some of the ideas may be of use to other leisure photographers. I have also started selling products on Zazzle with my photographic images as well as my art. And that seems like a cue for another lens.

I love simple home cooking and have included advice on how to go about it. Not recipes as such! But more like how to experiment and make up your own. There are a large number of these to be added but again time is the enemy.

Most of the food will be "one-pot" foods since I find these by far the easiest to work with. Soups and stews,etc, are my stock-in-trade in the kitchen. I will however be including desserts and other dishes / foods.

As a young teenager in the sixties, music changed my life as it did for many of my contemporaries. I am dedicating a number of lenses to my oldest and most loved favourite artists.

I have also included a lensography on song writing, I spent most of my time playing guitar in the sixties, and still pick it up sometimes. I have written many songs whist idly wasting time. Some I like, some I would happily forget but some I think are great. A personal opinion of course but if I can I will pass on a few ideas.

I love quizes! This group will grow slowly reflecting my tastes in a number of areas, sometimes adding value to my other lenses and sometimes standing on their own. I hope there are one or two you can enjoy yourself.

I have been increasing my presence on Zazzle over the past few months by increasing the number of products I have in my three stores. This Christmas I decided to create a niche of Zazzle sales lenses and cross my fingers, well with a little promotion of the said lenses. These are mostly represented here.

There has to be a place for all those lenses that don't fit anywhere else. An eclectic collection, maybe you will enjoy reading them.
