- Life is a learning process. Once I was old enough to begin to know how much I did not know (that was about age 25), life started getting better and more livable. I still have down periods but there are always some that I can look at and say very sincerely, "there but for the grace of God, go I" I thank my Maker for all my gifts and my problems -- one shows His love for me and the other shows His respect for me.

- This lens resonated very highly with me, really good read. I definitely agree on the "Optimisim also can be passive and active" bit. I live my life looking for things to be happy about and reading this has done the job! Good outlook. With thanks and appreciation. Cathi

- This is a very interesting read, love what you have done here. It's so easy to get side tracked in today's stressful world and focus on the wrong values. thank you for putting this together for us, couldn't agree more. Passive and active optimism, it's so true, Thank you for reminding me.

- I really like this Lens and I think you've done a smashing job on it. The 'dog eat dog' culture out there is stressful. I always try to live by the Golden Rule and I'm happy to be working from home!

- I love learning and stretching my mind. It's nice to hear how others see things. I too agree that we need to be careful how we treat people here. I have not in the past and am coming back to caring, really caring for people instead of just saying I do.

- Great lens. I've chosen "love" as the most important value because I think it could syntetize all my philosophy - which is, actually, very similar to yours. If you love you respect (not only I'm thinking about human beings, but also about animals, nature, our natural and artificial environments....); if you love the things you do, you live well, you smile and you are less stressed. Don't you agree?

- I definitely agree. I sometime get too caught up in thew learn bit to the detriment of the others, which can leave me tired and stressy, so thats when I need to spend more time taking the kids out or visiting friends, or even just sleeping - both living and loving...

- Nice lens. I try to go by the theory of what you put out in life is what you get back as well. I voted for learning in the above poll because I believe if you stop learning you stop living!

- Very nice lens and great thoughts for living well. I agree with Live, Love, and Learn. I also like to live by the philosophy of, "Go with the flow and roll with the punches" and "Take it Easy." Sometimes people take life too serious. Maybe you could add Laugh into your philosophy. Anyhow, nice to meet you and thanks for sharing.

- I am passionate about learning, so your thoughts on learning really connected with me. Guess I'm an information seeker and Squidoo is an ideal platform to quench your thirst. But guess I've got to learn more in the "real" world as well. Note to myself: Try a dragon fruit. I like the sound of it ;)

- I think this is a wonderful philosophy and that the 3 L's are pretty fundamental. To me, continuing to learn is an act of humility, so important these days. You've touched on it here, but compassion to me is fundamentally important. Thank you for sharing your thoughts so respectfully.

- I agree with a lot of your philosophy not all of it of course. I did like though near the end of this lens you talk about the importance of living, breathing and experiencing the life we have. Seeing as we are unsure of what lies in store for us in the afterlife though I do not think there- well there might be one but compared to the life we live now it is more important. It's okay if we do not live to die, I live to live, I do not live to die. Living to die would be so empty- my life would feel empty and uncomfortable.
What is your opinion on God? I disbelief all higher powers but if religion empowers my loved ones or lack there of, as long as it is not a creepy cult I am all for it. I think it is important to live for others, adore yourself and be willing to make uncomfortable sacrifices. I think one should also be willing to chance themselves.
What are your views on desire, good or bad? Do you condemn desire or thing it a good thing? Are you one of those people who is very focused on living in the present moment?
I like the present moment and I sometimes focus on it. I shift sometimes from thinking about the future, the present and the past. I think it's important to selectively sift through what we think about. I like focusing more on the present and the future. I do not like having complete attention to the now though, I like to look forward to things, in some moments I do not mind having complete attention to the now and others I do somewhat mind. I do not think it is wrong to ponder present, past or future. Sometimes it is necessary to completely focus in the present like in tragic occurances. I think there should be balance though.

- What a beautiful philosophy. I love the honest sincerity in your words. What you said -- "I behave as if this is the only chance, the only life" -- is something we should all keep in mind because it's only then that we can live life to its fullest. *blessed by an angel*
