Back in 2005 my dad had a heart attack. Bad food was the explanation he was given. This really rattled me because of my own lifestyle. No training, bad food and even smoking was a highway to illness. You know these things are bad, right? Strangely enough you always ignore it. Until something really bad happens.
Motivation is always the hardest part in any endeavor and especially in any lifestyle changes. The best way to stay motivated is to get some clear goals with a timeframe. Well defined goals are easier to achieve.
For permanent weight loss you will need help with weight loss meal plans and weight loss workouts plans. I found out the hard way the porblem with all the "false prophets" with the "only solution". Weird work out accessories, "wonderous" berries and diet pills are everyware. Well, there are "simple" ways of loosing weight but only if you don't count fat loss as the only real way of permanent weight loss. You can easily lose 8 pounds in a week if you dehydrate your body. But you will gain it back even faster when you start hydrating normally again. This is unfortunately what most fast and easy diets are about. It's all bogus. I got in contact with an old colleague of mine that is a regular down at my gym. He agreed to be my training partner and just within a few weeks I started to feel results. I felt energized and stronger. My gutt even started to disappear. Eager to lose more fat I started to research true fat loss and found one book after discarding all methods with pills, berries and stuff. Every angle was accounted for. Motivation with goals and measuring your progress. Food, nutrition and exercise. And how to balance them. This book was really a life changer for me! My body fat just disappeared and I got "muscle def" in just a couple of month!

It takes hard work
But don't be fooled, just because I read a book didn't get me in shape. You have to do the work yourself. You really need to get your exercise and you really need to watch what you eat. I reward myself on weekends with some ice cream or a couple of beers. But I have a strict regiment on the weekdays! :)
