My Mind : My Most Prized Possession

So what is my most prized possession? It has got to be my mind for if I lost my mind, I would be an empty person! Lose my mind? Break my spirit?
The Giant Squid Summer School assignment for the second week was to create a lens on our most prized possession -- to take a look around our house and find that one thing that is most meaningful to us and to write about it. I took this task to heart and started to think, "what is my most prized possession?" When hubby got home, I asked him. You know what he said? First he said it's my computer as I am attached at the hip to my computer. Next, he quickly said that he was my most prized possession. Hmmm, perhaps!
Hold that proverbial phone folks! Said hubby is now the ex. Whew! I really thought, for a minute there, that I would surely lose my most prized possession i.e. MY MIND. Good Grief, Charlie Brown, but it has been a long and winding road coming back after a divorce. And, I am a stronger person for it. It has not killed me ... and my mind is still intact.
You know ... I am from Cleveland in Northeastern Ohio. We Cleveland gals are tough cookies! You really do not want to "mess" with us. Not a threat or a warning ... just fair notice. We are driven like the pure white snow. We are workaholics. We come from tough stock. With proud ancestors of Eastern European heritage, we are driven.
So what is my most prized possession? It has got to be my mind for if I lost my mind, I would be an empty person! YOU KNOW! My Mind is My Most Prized Possession, Come to Think of IT!

I have a lot on my mind these days!
What more would you expect from a WAHWW?
Probably because I am a WAHW -- a work at home workaholic and thought of as a WAHWW -- a work at home wonder woman, I have lots on my mind! I just couldn't imagine how I would balance my life if I were to lose my most prized possession -- my mind!
Have you given this any thought? You go about your day like the previous day, doing your job, interacting with friends and family and your boss. You are constantly pulled here and there and trying to meet all your obligations and be a responsible person. But what if you weren't able to keep up with everything? What if it got to be too much? What if you found yourself in the predicament of losing your mind?
I'm not trying to get too deep here -- to start waxing philosophically -- but just being thankful for what I have! Sure, I have worked just as hard as the next guy to get to where I am today. I've been lucky for the most part to be a healthy person. But, I wasn't given anything on a silver platter! I worked very hard to be who I am and to be where I am today. I believe in a good honest day's work. I don't believe in coasting through life.
And, it is probably because of my strong work ethics and sense of honesty that I am sitting here thinking how grateful I am to have lived this long and to have accomplished what I have.

- Wow, how did I miss this one?...wait, maybe 'cos you have 800+ lenses. Your work is always spectacular and this one is no different, Julie! It's rare that I don't have anything on my mind. In fact, I have learned to let go of many things in order to not lose my mind. Interesting thoughts on this lens that make you think which means I have more on my mind now...LOL ;) stay blessed my dear! :)

- Great lens! I signed up for the master's program but then went out of town for several weeks. I didn't build My Most Prized Possession lens but it would have been my eyesight. I need to read.
