Nail Fungus Treatment: How Do I?
Nail Fungus Treatment: The experts tell us that fungi of the dermaphytes group, which include Tinea Unguium that reside in both fingernails and toenails, are termed Onychomycosis (OM) by the medical profession. Aside from this technical jargon, what the average person needs to know is more informal: "Is there a nail fungus treatment that is simple, painless, and economical so that these discolored, thickened nails can return to their natural state?" As a matter of fact, the average person might even be more informal: "I have some irritated, painful nails, and I want to know how to get rid of the pain and embarrassment of these nails!"
So, lets talk about treatment for nail fungus, which is estimated to afflict some 35 million Americans. The pharmaceutical companies have come the rescue with both topical and oral medications to address this problem. And it is a problem, not just a cosmetic irritation; pain, deeper infection into the body, and limb amputation potential in folks with lowered circulation in their extremities are serious enough not ignore. The topical creams go by different names, but in general are for minor infections of fungi. They don't have a good track record of complete cure, and recurrence is usually real possibility (unlike the simple home remedy I suggest); tinea unguium is a very persistent and tenacious critter. Hence, topical creams are usually a temporary relief if at all.
Surely there is something more potent...
Literally, they are costly (between $1000 and $2000 to give the medication time to work), and in some cases insurance companies resist covering this price
because they believe it to be strictly a cosmetic issue. Figuratively, the cost is in the possible side effects that can be a real danger. These include vomiting, rashes, diarrhea, yellow skin and eyes, liver damage, kidney damage, and congestive heart failure to name a few things. Not exactly a pain-free journey toward healing.
Fortunately, there are natural ingredients that are effective, safe, and economical. And, they make sense; that's why the pharmaceuticals derive
many of their concoctions from these naturally-occurring substances. One person found real success and wrote a short manual to lead others toward a nail fungus cure. She discovered a couple of substances that exhibit anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and anti-viral properties that when combined attacked the fungi effectively and convincingly. And these "solutions" are nothing more than simple food items! Of course, they need to be applied the right way, but it's completely safe and actually makes you healthier (unlike the meds above which have the potential to seriously harm you).
