My Paintings Of Famous Paintings

Ranked #10,512 in Arts & Design, #193,848 overall

There are only five paintings in this "Art Collector" series.

I am a painter with my own style, and reproduction is not the norm in my work. In fact I have painted only five such paintings to date.

I call it the "Art Collector" series. They are paintings of a child looking at a painting on the wall. A grey colored wall. The painting is huge and brightly colored. The child is almost in monochrome.

This is a short lens, which I hope you will enjoy.

We Want a Piece Of A Great Master

Perhaps the reason why artists re-create their favorite Art...

I Dream Of KlimtThere are masterpieces that I really love from childhood. What else can we do but to go copy them. It is in following the strokes of genius that we can fully understand the genius behind them. It is like learning to play a difficult Chopin Etude on the piano.

Van Gogh's Bedroom

What's In Your Room?

Van Gogh's bedroomI call this painting "Vincent".

If there is one place in this world that defines a person, it would be his bedroom. Van Gogh's bedroom paintings are my favorite. I realized that it is more difficult to copy an image than to paint your own.

The World You Thought You Lived In

I modified the theme of this one to make it meaningful

The world you thought you lived in paintingThis is a kid looking at a Magritte.

I love Rene Magritte's clouds. They are so fluffy white. I want to touch them, and paint them.

Living in an Asian city, it is sad. You don't see the blue sky anymore, you don't see clouds. There is so much pollution, we have obliterated those fluffy clouds from the lives of our kids~!

I cannot remember the name of this Magritte (please message me if you know the name.). I saw this little painting in art Brussels. It is beautiful in reality. So I copied it with the boy looking at it.

I changed it a little. There is a crack in the floating island where a path used to be. The child is shocked.

Soup??

Andy Warhol and the importance of repetition.

Soup - andy warholThis motive is my bestseller as print. I think people love Andy... or could it be the message that art should help support the poor.

Kudos to Squidoo to remind us about giving.

Andy Warhol works are about repetition. The human mind is attracted to patterns. Having a repetitive theme is always interesting.

Great collection of paintings! You really are talented. Wish I could have the same talent. I also love collecting paintings, though I can't paint. Sometimes I just have my photographs turned into canvas prints.
