My parents and my tennis coach are the ones who I've always looked up to... I'm new to Squidoo, but one of my first lenses is about my club and the life lessons it taught me.

- I'm getting more and more inspired to write about my dad who was a Korean war hero. I love this lens! It brings tears to my eyes each time I read it.

- Another outstanding lens, and what a wonderful tribute. I enjoyed every word - and the rooster video. Apparently you take after your dad!

- Oh Chef, this is truly a beautiful tribute. I was facinated at every paragraph! I've made a tribute to my Father, but it is not nearly of the calibur of yours. Seeing the book 'My Fathers Country: Story of a German Family' nearly brought me to tears. My Grandfather's name was Gotleib Baumann.

- I truly understand how your parents can be your super heroes. My dad is mine--having fought as a young Marine on the Manchurian border in the Korean war. He lost all his fingers and toes to frostbite and suffered mentally the rest of his life;he finally died at age 52 of a massive heart attack. What a life he lived!!

- Chef Keem, an uber max tribute to your parents. 5*s, and emailed to my mother who will love this lens. My mother's parents immigrated to the US in the 1920s from Crimmitschau. Last year Mom was able to return for a visit with cousins she hadn't seen in more than 70 years, on her first visit to Germany.

- Wonderful lens to honor your parents. My father died too in his first year of retirement; oh cruel fate... I hope to follow your example soon and dedicate a lens to my "fallen superheroes". Thanks for sharing!
