Building a Six Pack Abs Workout
Getting motivated is just the first step (although perhaps the most important one) when it comes to getting the six pack abs of your dreams.
In order to fully develop those nice muscles in your stomach, you need to build a workout that with the help of a diet, help you maximize your results.
This means for most people, going beyond the basic crunches and begin integrating exercises that take care of other parts on our mid-zone, like the lower abs and the oblique muscles.

Steps to a Nice Six Pack Workout
First, you need to start your routine performing cardio exercises that will help you elevate your heart rate. A six pack depends heavily on low fat levels (you can have a nice set of abs hidden below that thick layer of fat!), so the best technique of cardio exercising is interval training, which essentially means that you perform intervals of high-intensity / low-intensity. You can find more info about Intervals at "Benefits of Cardio Interval Training".Okay, the next step is to work your core muscle sections. Working these muscles, like the transversal abdominus muscles, will not only make you look leaner, but will also bring you better stability and performance in sports and physical activities. I'd suggest trying the "plank" and Pilates exercises. (They work great for this section!).
Now it's the turn to work your lower abs. Contrary to what many people believe, working your abs is most important than working your upper abs. this is because, they are the ones that will make our belly look thinner, and by working them we will also be working indirectly the upper abs! The best exercise, hands down, is the bicycle maneuver.

Finally do the upper bas exercises like crunches. You will find that they are tired from the previous efforts, and that's a good thing,, because it means you have worked them good.
