An Ironman Triathlon consists of swimming a little over 2 miles, biking 112, and then running a marathon. The most famous Ironman event is in Kona, Hawaii. I have never done an Ironman Triathlon. I will never do an Ironman Triathlon. But, I have been wearing an Ironman watch for many years.

Every morning, one alarm on my watch goes off at 5 am. The second alarm goes off at 5:10, so I don’t sleep through the first one. I leave the third alarm for special meetings or appointments. I like using my watch alarms because I can turn them off quickly before my husband wakes up. (Yep, I wear my watch to bed.) The buttons and wristband are smooth, so I find it comfortable. Finally, after stumbling out of bed, I try not to turn on any lights. I laid out my workout gear the night before. If I need to see, I use the light on my watch. It glows just enough to light my way. And yes, I use the stopwatch during my morning workout.

Afterwards, I return home sweaty and tired to “morning madness” . When getting my kids ready for school, I use my stopwatch again. It works wonders when trying to get little girls dressed quickly. I say “Ready, Set, Go”, and call out the minutes. For an added challenge, I ask them to beat the clock and get dressed under 5 minutes. The timer strategy works for cleaning up toys too!

This watch is perfect when giving kids a bath. No worries if the watch gets wet when washing their hair. Whether washing hands, dishes, finger painting, planting seeds, or catching worms, this watch will not break. The only reason I buy a new one is to change colors. With so many cool choices, I already have my next watch picked out.

The Timex Ironman watch would probably work when swimming a couple miles off the coast of Hawaii, biking 112 miles through lava fields, then running a marathon through pineapple plantations too…

I loved this watch too.

I actually do have a sports watch but I tend to use my phone as my watch at the moment. My sports watch is able to read my heartbeat from a strap round my chest, which is why I chose that one. I like sports watches and am not into the little tiny fancy ones that don't like getting wet doing the dishes!

hmmm - one of my kids got a pricier waterproof watch for Christmas but lost it x-country skiing! I am thinking maybe he could replace with this more budget-friendly version, as he is worried about dipping into his savings! thanks for the reco!!

I don't have a favorite watch; I like most of the sports watches out there. The Timex watches that you highlight look really nice.

Sweetly, my favorite watch is one of my mom's that I inherited (all of them). I thought it looked utilitarian, but when the watch I planned to wear one day had a dead battery, I pulled it out. It's a long story but I made some changes and it's my fav now.

My watch is a Bullova Accutron Astronaut that was my grandfathers. Not really a sports watch as all it does it tell time.

Very nice review, I'm glad that you love your watch, perhaps in my younger days this would have been a watch for me. I used to run 5 to 6 miles a day, I guess I should have never given it up. Thanks Again

I haven't worn a watch in years but the Timex Ironman would have been nice in my younger years when I was more athletic.

I have several favorite watches and one is a Timex Indiglo (useful for checking the time in the dark).
