Genuine Tips for Losing Weight

With so much misinformation around it is hard to know where to go to find genuine tips for losing weight. Too many people have jumped on the weight loss bandwagon and are wanting to make a quick buck from the unsuspecting person who is desperate to lose weight. There are thousands of books available on the subject from the genuine scientifically researched methods to the fast weight loss fad diets. It is essential that obese and overweight individuals are given correct advice if they are to lose weight effectively and sustain that weight loss in the future. As a nutritionist who has struggled to keep my weight manageable I have done a lot of research into the truths and myths of losing weight. There are no easy answers but there are some fundamental facts that I would like to share with you that may help to make your weight loss journey a little less stressful and hopefully more successful.

How to find reliable tips for losing weight

In order to fully understand the enormity of the weight loss phenomena, a few statistics might help to put things into perspective.

64% in US are overweight
48% in Europe are overweight
300 million world wide are obese
700 million worldwide are overweight
The weight loss market was due to hit $61 billion in 2008
400,000 deaths a year may be attributed to obesity

Obesity is now an epidemic and any genuine tips for losing weight should be adhered to before it is too late.

Weight loss has become a massive industry. Sadly overall it is an industry that is more interested in making money from overweight people than helping them to overcome their problem. Consequently much of the advice on offer will serve only to encourage fast weight loss that will inevitably go back on just as fast and result in the yo yo dieter who is a regular ongoing customer for the weight loss industry.

However there are weight loss experts out there who genuinely want to offer sound advice and help our overweight population understand why they are overweight in the first place and what they can do to help themselves to overcome their problem. Very often the best weight loss gurus are those who have battled with a weight loss problem themselves and have researched and discovered the best ways to lose weight.

If you do your research you will find that those people who are offering a holistic approach to weight loss will all be singing from the same hymn sheet. They will all be telling you the same thing.

5 Basic Tips To Help You To Lose Weight Successfully

1. My first tip for losing weight would have to be to keep away from any diet fad diet that involves eating single foods like grapefruits. These diet will only serve to starve the body and create problems that will have to be addressed once the diet has been completed. With many fad diets the amazing weight loss experienced in the first couple of weeks is more likely to be a combination of water and muscle loss than fat loss especially if the diet forces the body into starvation mode due to insufficient calories and/or nutrients. This weight will go back on again as soon as normal eating resumes

2. Secondly, ensure that your diet is well balanced and contains sufficient protein to encourage the body to convert its fat stores into lean muscle. Our bodies are complex mechanisms that require the correct ratios of nutrients if they are to function optimally. Good quality home cooked food will go a long way to help you to lose weight efficiently

3. Thirdly don't skip breakfast, or any meal for that matter. However breakfast is the most important meal as it is the time when the body refuels after its overnight fast. Include some protein in this meal also to give your body a kick start. It is also a good idea to eat smaller meals more often as this can give your metabolism a boost. This doesn't mean unhealthy snacks, but smaller portions of a normal healthy meal appropriate for a weight loss regime.

4. Fourthly, include an exercise regime in your weight loss program. This is an essential tip for losing weight, even though some diets say that it is not necessary. Weight bearing exercises will enhance the bodies ability to convert fat into lean muscle. Also as muscle is more metabolically active than fat, it will help to speed up the metabolic process and help to burn fat more quickly

5. The fifth tip for losing weight is to ensure that you are in the correct frame of mind. Motivation and positive thinking are very important elements in the weight loss process. Try to think like a slim person, then very likely you will be more inclined to act and eat like one.

However despite our best efforts, sometimes that stubborn fat just won't shift. This may require that you take a more innovative approach. One of my favorite weight loss secrets involves quite a different approach which I will discuss in more detail in the next module

My Top Tip for Losing Weight

Through my research into the reasons why people put on weight, I discovered something about obesity that I had previously been unaware of, something that led me to believe that this had to be the best of the tips for losing weight. that I had come across so far. Dr Suzanne Gudakunst, a medical doctor who spent 6 years researching the causes of obesity, discovered that many people were struggling with their weight because of a build up of harmful plaque in their intestines

Dr Suzanne discovered that this harmful crusty "plaque" which builds up over the years in all of us - is the direct result of harmful chemicals, preservatives, pesticides, etc. added to many foods that we purchase on a regular basis.

She believes that this harmful plaque is responsible for your weight gain because it BLOCKS your body's natural ability to absorb proper nutrition - which causes two main things to occur:

Your body starves no matter how much you eat - so by not feeling satisfied you continue to eat and get very very fat

Your body thinks it's starving so your 'hypothalamus' adjusts your metabolism to burn food much, much slower in an effort to store food - thus making you fatter than before!

So it makes sense that if and when you REMOVE this unwanted "plaque" from lining your 'insides,' you will naturally start dissolving the fat and "stored chunks of lard" that disfigure an otherwise more attractive and healthier frame

Are Parasites Stopping You From Losing Weight?

Dr Suzanne identified multitudes of specific species of "parasites" living inside nearly 99.964% of all people's small and large intestines in the United States alone, and about 92.36% of people on average worldwide.

These parasites excrete a jelly-like "SLUDGE" that coats your insides and which is very harmful and extremely TOXIC!

Additionally, much like the plaque, they often steal your nutrition which in turn again causes your body to believe it's starving, and as a defense you continue even more just to get FATTER and FATTER!

These parasites usually end up dying (but not before laying millions of eggs!) -- and once they die they fossilize forming a coral-like barrier preventing you even further from absorbing the correct amounts of proper nutrition.

When these parasites are FLUSHED from your guts, you end up magically losing tons of fat and extra weight - and even WITHOUT making one slight change to your diet or how much you eat!

SHOCKINGLY, these same parasites actually release chemical "messengers" that make you crave foods that you are not even supposed to eat at all!

So how can you get rid of this plaque and the parasites that are causing you so much trouble? Dr Suzanne has put her findings and her simple regime into an ebook called Top Secret Fat Loss Secrets. This really is my top tip for losing weight, mainly because it could address one of the many underlying problems that face people who are obese and struggling to lose weight.

You can read all the testimonials of the people who have tried this regime on the web site.

A Tip for Losing Weight That is Often Overlooked

It has been suggested by researchers that obesity is a "socially contagious" condition. Apparently if one sibling in a family is obese the chances of another sibling being obese increases by 40% if they are a different sex and 50% if they are the same sex. Likewise if a spouse becomes obese the chances of the other spouse becoming obese increases by 37%. The researchers of this study have suggested that it should be equally possible to utilize this phenomena in reverse to help to slow down the spread of obesity.

This suggests that the power of social support during a weight loss campaign could be an invaluable asset in helping individuals with their weight loss.

You need to surround yourself with people who will offer you the support that you need and avoid those who are likely to tempt you to veer of the straight and narrow.

As Napoleon Hill says

"People take on the nature and the habits and the power of thought of those with whom they associate within a spirit of sympathy and harmony"

Social support can offer you:-

* An accountability partner
* A good role model
* Encouragement
* A positive environment

It is important not to overlook this tip if you want to lose weight successfully, It is also vital to ensure that you don't waste time second guessing how to proceed whilst losing weight, make sure you find out the right way to proceed before you begin.

    Thanks for this:

    '...obesity is a "socially contagious" condition...'
