My Top 10 Horror Films Of All Time
10. CreepShow 1982
Directed by George A Romero

This film is great. Its directed by George A Romero, the guy that is behind other films such as Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Martin etc. Its basically a series of stories taken from a comic book. All the stories are written by Stephen King. its a lot of fun, creepy, funny, and disturbing. Stephen King even stars in one of the stories. It reminds me of Halloween when I was very young as I was allowed to watch it, and remember being scared of the final story.
CreepShow 1982
9. Near Dark 1987
Directed by Kathryn Bigelow

Awesome beautiful film about a gang of vampires on the run from the law. This film is actually very sad and has a awesome soundtrack. Best watch it and not let me spoil anything.
Near Dark 1987
8. Night of the Comet 1984
Directed by Thom Eberhardt

Its 80s at it best. Think Day of the Triffids. Very weird, strange soundtrack and very lonely. Again I'm not going to ruin it for you. Just watch it, you can get it on DVD very cheap or see it else where.
Night of the Comet 1984
7. Threads 1984
Directed by Mick Jackson

I would normally say avoid this. It was a compulsory film during secondary school in my younger years. For some bizarre reason schools in the Uk would force children to watch this to warn them of what would happen during a nuclear war. Not really horror horror, but more horror than anything else on this page as even to today I wouldn't want to see it again. Once is enough, and enough to know nuclear war is scary. Avoid, but if you have the strength watch.
Threads 1984
6. Escape from NewYork 1981
Directed by John Carpenter

AWESOME. Forget Threads and watch this. Fun. Not really a horror movie, but nonetheless it could be. Set in the future where Manhattan island is turned into a prison and the hero of the film is sent into save the president at any cost. Please watch.
Escape from NewYork 1981
5. The Stand 1994
Directed by Mick Garris

Wow. This TV made film based on the book goes on for around 8 hours. its a lot of fun. Basically a great plague kills most of the population and the Devil walks the earth. Based on a Stephen King novel.
The Stand 1994
4. The Thing 1982

This is a no brainer. Watch it. And the soundtracks great if you can find it
3. Dawn of the Dead 1978

Zombie mania and the original. Terrified me as a child but oh so fantastic once a adult. Watch watch watch..................
Dawn of the Dead 1978

Return of the Living Dead 2 1988
