My top 10 SONY alpha NEX 3/5 Camera bags

Ranked #234 in Computers & Electronics, #3,126 overall

My New Camera ...

... is the Sony alpha NEX5. I love using this camera and because it cost so much I opted not to buy the camera bag as I have a big camera bag. While I am pretty satisfied with my camera, I realised my other camera bag is always a little convenient. I am afraid that it may scratch or cause some unexpected accident. I have been thinking about saving up and getting a new camera bag for my NEX alpha. I have found many cool camera bags and I have not decided which one to buy. However, here are the top 10 that I thinking buying so that my new camera can have better and proper protection.

Number 10

The Sony LCSMS10T

This camera back is by Sony. Very sleek looking and you can place your camera and camera accessories safely. I like the colour and it looks like.
I found out that it is made of nylon and polyester. It as several compartments. The down side is the price- cost more than $100!

An unexpected kind of camera bag.

It's called the Lowpro Passport Sling. It has a comfortable sling over your shoulder so that your bag will not fall off your shoulder while you take pictures. There's a zip on the side where you can expand your bag more. There's also a padded and collapsible camera box that you can take out and put in. Looks like a nice camera bag for anyone who travels a lot. Read more here: http://www.lowepro.com/passportsling

It's a little pricey for me. I guess when you want a fancy and good camera bg you gotta spend a bit.

Crumpler Three Million Dollar Home Camera Bag

Everyone knows that all Crumpler bags are the best qualities. I saw this really nice one. It's water resistance, light and I know this Crumpler bag will definitely protect my precious camera. Only down side it's the price, it's over $50.

Sidekick Leather Camera Bag by Lomography

This is an excellent bag. First of all it's leather, second it fits almost all types of camera. I mean almost all because I do not think it fits the professional ones with a huge lens. However, you can attach and detached some parts of the bag to fit your photography adventure. So I am also thinking that this might be a good choice for me. All cool and good camera bags are a little pricey but hey, as long as they keep me happy, fit my photography lifestyle and keep my baby safe, a little more is ok.

Know someone who would like a Lomography Sidekick?

BLACK LILY DSLR Camera Bag

This is one cool bag. It's eye catching and fun. I love the colour Black White Pink! What else can the gal ask for?
It cost about 23pouns though. A bit pricey. Has compartments for your extra batteries, SD cards. It's made of nylons and of course very fashionable for a young and trendy photographer.

Acme Made SF- Lunch Box

Now, I just love this little one compartment camera bag. But it has only one compartment, but on a day trip you don't really need all your accessories with you but your camera and a camera bag. I love the design and the compactness of the bag. It is also affordable, below $40. Check out their website by ACME Made at http://www.acmemade.com

Dicapac Waterproof Case

I know it's not the camera bag,but it's a bag for the camera, right? and it's purpose is the same. To protect the camera from the elements. What other camera bag do you really need besides a waterproof one when you are 'IN' the water element.

I definitely love to have this one when I am going on a holiday in Malaysia. I love snorkeling and now having this bag will let me take some cool underwater pictures. It's waterproof from salt water up to 10 feet deep (3 metres). Light weight, easy to use. You can use it for SONY alpha NEX cameras, or any DSLR cameras (Lenses length from 5cm (2") to 15 cm (6") ). They are not expensive as well. I think besides using for underwater snorkeling pictures, it can protect your camera from rain while you are out on a rainy day. I once wrapped my camera with glad wrap and went out on a snowy walk. The pictures did not turn out too well. So it's a sure buy for me.

Get yourself a Dica bag for your Holiday.

Dica Bags not only protect your camera but your hand phones and many different camera models too.

I don't know. My quest to search more is never ending. I like Kelly Moore's bags a lot, but I also like Acme Made camera bags as well. When I have made my decision I will tell you. Meanwhile tell me what you are looking for?

About buying good camera bags.

Is it important for you that your camera has a good bag. To be protected because the gadgets, accessories and what not are pricey. Or do you think it doesn't really matter as long as the camera works.

What type of Camera Bags are you looking for?

I could use a water proof one myself

Gee, I have no idea how old this post is, but I'm also currently looking for bags for my NEX-3 camera with 18-55mm lens.
It's a tough choice, because you want to protect your camera, but you also want to be able to have it ready without having to zip like 20 things open, right?
I was thinking of getting the Sony LCS-U10 which is pretty small and pretty much all business. I do like the idea of the L637 cases that are like 'funnel shaped' like the Crumpler you listed. It looks badass, but I'm not sure it's easy to use.
The 'form fitting' case you posted is not the Sony official one, because those are ridiculously expensive. I've also purchased one of the bootleg cases though because it seems like such a form fitting case will be easy to take with me.
I can't believe I'm putting so much thought into this -.-

I have the Kelly Moore bags and they are great. I think we should not skim on the camera bags. If you plan to buy a good camera, be ready to invest in a good bag for it.. The ones above are all good bags known for sturdiness and quality.

Thanks Anon of Holland. It is natural to put so much thought into this because the bag will be part of you and your camera, you really want it to protect your camera and at the same time be useful. Took me sometime to find mine :) but now I love using it.
