My Top New Year's Resolution | Become An Online Affiliate Marketer

My top new year's resolution is as follows:

Earn $500 per week online from affiliate products without any monetary investment.

For those of you who might not know the term affiliate - an affiliate promotes products for a commission.

Plan of Attack
The program to accomplish my top new year's resolution is called One Week Marketing. Every week you create a marketing campaign by following a blueprint set up by One Week Marketing's author, PotPieGirl.

That's the simple concept. Is it easy? That really depends on the person executing the blueprint. The prerequisite knowledge that would make the program easy is discussed in the next section.

Learning internet marketing is a process. If you've been looking for an internet business online for awhile, you have already picked up a lot of background info without even thinking about it.

PREREQUISITES
The basic prerequisites that I need to achieve my top new year's resolution using the One Week Marketing program are described below. Remember that One Week Marketing requires no dollar investment except for the program purchase.

Background Information and Terminology
Browsing the Internet will help you acquire background information. Reading forum posts will provide terminology (affiliate, internet marketing, backlinks, blogs, widgets, pay per click, etc).

Knowing Where To Find Basic Functions
What basic functions? Linking to a web site, highlighting a few words, and gettting a picture online are examples of basic functions.

You do not need to be a web programming expert. You FIND an expert online. You also need to know where to find the coding for the functions mentioned above.

A simple example - to highlight the word "expert" on a web page, type "left carat, b, right carat" before the word and "left carat, forward slash, b, right carat" after the word. The result is a bolded/highlighted word.

How To Build A Squidoo Lens
You are reading a squidoo lens now.

One of the first actions I took to launch my top new year's resolution was to build one of these lenses.

Fortunately, in my Internet travels, I stumbled on PotPieGirl's free Squidoo Lens Guide. I just followed her directions. Since she has a knack for creating excellent instructions, I built the first one quickly. It wasn't a work of art, but it did do what I expected it to.

Posting to a Blog
You need to post to an EXISTING blog, NOT create your own blog. You can create your own blog if you want to on blogger or Wordpress, but why not use someone else's? PotPieGirl provides the instructions for posting to an existing blog.

Note that writing a blog post assumes you can write a few hundred words about a particular topic. The easiest way to do this is to pretend you're talking to someone and then write it down.
